Don't you understand that straight rich white men have been the butt of all jokes for far too long?

Buffy@libretechni.ca · 31 pts · 268d (4 replies)

I need to know. I either severely misread your username by coincidence, or you've operated under a similar, but far more sinister one.

cannedtuna@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 268d

I’ve had the other dude blocked for idk how long. Saw a meme recently that mentioned that person and the one above. I think(?) they’re different people? Unclear. Don’t keep up with profiles other than maybe ThePicardManeuver and PerfectDark

WhyIHateTheInternet@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 268d

You're right. Must be the Christmas special. That or both just wanted to see Satan's maggoty cumfart...

Agent641@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 268d

Just the Mandela effect don't worry about it.

SlurpingPus@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 267d

This guy is from a different instance, and the account is much newer. Considering that the other dude is still active, I think they're different people.

BananaIsABerry@lemmy.zip · 53 pts · 268d (4 replies)

Fixed it.

underscores@lemmy.zip · 16 pts · 267d (2 replies)

real shit, I'm super tired of the online gender war meta

mika_mika@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 267d (1 reply)

I see a disproportionate amount of this being fueled by my trans sisters. Especially on lemmy.

This is disappointing.

Two wrongs do not a right make, ladies. We should be more conscious of gender because of our experience, and with that wisdom realizing isolating a gender does not help towards a goal of dismantling patriarchy.

underscores@lemmy.zip · 7 pts · 267d

I point it out every time I see it because to me Lemmy is a space that is away from the current kind of rage bait you see on other platforms and it's as you said; disappointing.

Gonzako@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 267d

Thank ya sir needed this

drone509@discuss.tchncs.de · 37 pts · 268d (1 reply)

The point of the meme is that we let chuds set the standards of behavior now?

pulsewidth@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 268d

Highlighting the hypocrisy of the average "everyone should be able to be made fun of" chud, is not the same as advocating for standards.

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 27 pts · 268d (19 replies)

I've seen those threads here

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 8 pts · 268d (1 reply)

It's only matter of time before this thread becomes one

Edit: it's a burden, always being right and sexy 24/7

pulsewidth@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 268d

I've noticed those comments seem to arrive at threads in force during the US 11am-11pm period.

Probably coincidence.

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -32 pts · 268d (16 replies)

Men suffering is objectively funny, though.

Edit: lol

TheSambassador@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 268d (6 replies)

Only when those men subscribe to and endorse a shitty worldview that causes pain to people around them. Men suffering because they're not getting the stupid advantage that have been historically granted to them but not others? Hilarious. Men suffering because society hasn't figured out a good blueprint for men to feel good in a positive and healthy way? Less hilarious

damnedfurry@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 267d

Men suffering because they’re not getting the stupid advantage that have been historically granted to them but not others? Hilarious.

Historically, the vast, vast majority of men, and of women, haven't been granted any sort of advantage. Almost everyone was just as deeply in the shit as everyone else.

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -26 pts · 268d (4 replies)

Nope, still funny. Not as morally satisfying, but still funny.

Soulg@ani.social · 22 pts · 268d (1 reply)

So you're just a bad person then

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -16 pts · 268d

I think that's a very oversimplified description, but I don't mind being seen as that.

AquaTofana@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 268d (1 reply)

Idk, I try real hard to remind others that Tanner, the Night Shift manager at the Circle K, is NOT the reason women are oppressed, and making him feel like he's the reason does nothing to support our equality cause.

We genuinely do have to support men having space to air their issues with society/the world, and let them know that they're heard/understood.

The patriarchy hurts everyone, including the dude who is told to swallow his feelings/frustrations and he is only allowed to be interested in sex/woodworking/hunting to be a "real man" and "accepted" by his bros.

So like, maybe we could not laugh at men's struggles and still support ladies?

Edit: Changed "head" to "heard"

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -21 pts · 268d

I'm not saying he deserves to suffer; I'm saying it's funny when he does.

I take their issues seriously. As seriously as I take anything. I just also find their pain funny.

The patriarchy does hurt everyone, and its even funnier when it hurts men! The patriarchy is like cops: it can't do good things, but it can do funny things. One could even say the intrinsic humor in mens' suffering is a privilege in the traditionally male dominated field of slapstick.

I can help you up even if I laugh when you fall. I might, even! If it was bad enough for you to not hit on me after!

I keep seeing people acting like humor is a moral hierarchal and value judgment, and that just makes me think you're deeply unfun unfunny and vile fucking people I sincerely hope to never meet.

KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 12 pts · 268d (6 replies)

“Jews suffering is objectively funny, though.” <= This is what you sound like.

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -20 pts · 268d (5 replies)

Really? Everything I don't like is antisemitism?

You scolding me is antisemitism. You're basically Hitler.

KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 16 pts · 268d (4 replies)

You swung and missed on the point so hard, you hit yourself with the bat.

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -17 pts · 268d (3 replies)

Yeah I'm not gonna listen to Hitler.

But somehow you rather be the Hitler of men's suffering.

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -5 pts · 268d

Are my paintings that bad? Shit. I'll have to I'll have to kill m-well played.

nforminvasion@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 267d (1 reply)

Okay so you're either a bot or so chronically online I don't have words.

You joined less than 2 months ago and have over 2.3k comments?

At this point I hope you're a bot because the alternative is wild. And sure Lemmy is a far better space to spend online time in than reddit or facebook, but like... Damn.

All this to say: if you are a real person, your comment here is textbook definition of separated from reality and stuck in dopamine loops online.

cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 267d

I would not hold this opinion if I didn't go outside.

sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz · 26 pts · 268d (1 reply)

Muh suicide rates. Why does nobody show me the compassion I refuse to show other men or women?

TranscendentalEmpire@lemmy.today · 23 pts · 268d

No you don't get it..... I mean because I'm lonely, and I'm lonely because I'm mean. This means I get to call you slurs and you have to tell me I'm a good boy.

Duamerthrax@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 268d (1 reply)

I've definitely seen a Femcel that looks a lot closer to an incel. Hates other women who sleep around and "don't value their bodies". Also hates how "modern protesters" are just annoying. That sort of thing.

diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 268d

yep especially TERFs are like that too. TERFs and incels are the same in a way.

Broadfern@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 268d (1 reply)

Femcel is a vibe, not a set of criteria and I love it for that.

Femcelmemes gives me the impression that being sapphic is more the vague requirement than hating men though lmao

KawaiiBitch@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 268d

HollowNaught@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 268d (8 replies)

Replacing the right character with a caricature of a conservative or MAGA and this could be very funny, but implying all men like this is a little hurtful :'(

GiveOver@feddit.uk · 21 pts · 268d

No just men with a head shaped like a Pringle

Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 268d (3 replies)

The set-up clearly indicates that this is specifically about the type of men who would belittle gays, minorities, and women. If you’re not that type of man, then you’re not in the picture.

doctordevice@lemmy.ca · 14 pts · 267d

That's not entirely true, all men are in the bottom left generalization. What is bad is toxic masculinity and oppressive patriarchy, "men bad" is just as problematic a generalization as the top three.

mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 268d

yeah this is not one of those "all men are bad" posts that people then say that "well if you're offended then it must be about you" bullshit

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · -1 pts · 268d

And if you are that type of man, you're leaving a whiny comment just like in the meme.

diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 268d

I didnt make the meme but I think the men in the meme are the ones who are alt-right and maga.

this is a little hurtful :'(

im sorry 😞 im man as well, i hadnt thought much when I posted it.

brucethemoose@lemmy.world · -12 pts · 268d (1 reply)

Statistically, men are.

https://www.axios.com/2025/06/21/maga-young-conservatives-culture

https://www.axios.com/2024/10/25/trump-harris-youth-gender-gap-doubles

I can’t find the article, but it’s even more extreme in a new survey. Men are going MAGA, massively disproportionately.

Not gonna lie, I’m a little ashamed of my sex.

brucethemoose@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 267d

The worst is when these people are called out, and the response is "it's just a joke, bruh." But only if they get called out.

Cowards.

Checking to see how many hours ago I commented "men ☕" on another post....

It was precisely right before you made this post. Coincidence? Hmmm

diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 268d (1 reply)

i was going to post with the title "Men Issues" then I had changed my mind. ur comment might had inspired me. Because I remember the comic post u had commented on so probably i read your comment as well.

LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 267d

I love it 😄

shalafi@lemmy.world · -15 pts · 268d (6 replies)

Most of the people in forums like this are straight white guys. Of course we feel attacked, especially when we're not accustomed to it. Did anyone expect a different reaction?

jjjalljs@ttrpg.network · 22 pts · 268d

You can feel attacked, then think about it for a moment and react in some other way.

Mika@piefed.ca · 18 pts · 268d (2 replies)

Actually, why, is there a stat on who is using threadiverse, or is it an assumption?

Aqarius@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 268d (1 reply)

Honestly, with the posts on here I'd have no trouble believing lemmy is wall-to-wall transbians.

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 1 pts · 267d

They're a cornerstone species of any healthy meme community before monoculture crops destroy the native ecosystem

WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca · 0 pts · 267d

Who’s “we,” snowflake? Weird that you would see yourself in this.

Honytawk@feddit.nl · -2 pts · 268d

Well they could grow a thicker skin. Or some sort of moral.

Both would help in this case.

Honytawk@feddit.nl · -2 pts · 268d (1 reply)

But those people the comics refer to are mentally disabled. Just look at the shit they are spewing.

That 4Chan have culturally appropriated them is their fault.

Nerd alert 🤓

pulsewidth@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 268d (3 replies)

I think it's a bit overboard to say a caricature of someone with a crescent-moon-shaped head is a representative of a real group of people.

Is the one with a tricycle for a brain ableist too?

FWIW I would completely agree if they were drawn to look like they had downs syndrome or some other visual identifier of real people.

alsaaas@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -1 pts · 268d (2 replies)

It's an integral part of a family of a very specific set of wojaks, it doesn't exist in a vacuum, look it up...

pulsewidth@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 268d

You're the one claiming its ableist, but you want others to 'look it up' to research potentials for why you think it's ableist?

That ain't gonna win anyone over to your position.

Honytawk@feddit.nl · 4 pts · 268d

If we have to look it up, the link isn't very integral, now is it?

lmmarsano@lemmynsfw.com · 5 pts · 268d (2 replies)

caring about ableism might start with lack of alt text

diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 268d (1 reply)

☹️

lmmarsano@lemmynsfw.com · 3 pts · 268d

I was calling the commenter's claim insincere, but you can fix the alt text, OP. I have faith in you. ☺️
