Evil Hank says, "Taste the heat, not the meat!" as he burns you alive with his propane flamethrower. You can't burn a man alive with charcoal.

Texas_Hangover@lemmy.radio · 9 pts · 237d (3 replies)

I bet you fucking could.

pluralPeople@piefed.zip · 2 pts · 237d (1 reply)

Yes but would be relatively inconvenient. The way they did it in Nigeria would be luxurious in comparison(tire around the neck).

SantasMagicalComfort@piefed.world · 2 pts · 237d

Oh necklacing.

that's a nice grill man...

It's wild. Growing up with gas, I was always on Hank's side. Now as an adult with a charcoal grill, I just don't understand. :(

I never understood either. To me, gas was always about convenience. It’s faster and easier than charcoal, but does it taste better?

bdonvr@thelemmy.club · 6 pts · 237d

Not a chance.

SantasMagicalComfort@piefed.world · 5 pts · 237d (3 replies)

You’re supposed to taste the meat not the heat.

Madison420@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 236d (2 replies)

Yeah fuck that the heat adds good flavor, meat is lesser without a wood or charcoal fire.

SantasMagicalComfort@piefed.world · 1 pts · 236d (1 reply)

Have you seen the videos of people cooking over plastic fires?

Madison420@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 236d

Maybe it's got that good cyanide flavor

otacon239@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 237d

Taste the meat, not the heat!

stupidcasey@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 237d

I always assumed that was the joke, he was the absolute advocate for a clearly inferior product.

Imagine how Bobby feels.

If I wanted a clean, convenient, and flavor-neutral method of cooking my meat then I would just stay in the kitchen where I have a variety of electric and natural gas appliances very capable of doing so.

"Grilling" with propane is just silly. Idk maybe there's some merit to camp stoves while camping, but that's only if you can't use firewood for some reason.

I thought it required energy to process wood into charcoal?

Hank Hill is a die-hard Republican, fiercely loyal to his grifter of a boss at the propane store. Of course he's going to advocate for the bland, simple taste of meat cooked by propane. He's not adventurous and he definitely wouldn't betray his brand.

queermunist@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 237d (2 replies)

Evil Hank has a gas hookup in his house, so he does all his cooking indoors. He doesn't even grill!

ObviouslyNotBanana@piefed.world · 3 pts · 237d (1 reply)

I assumed he would use an electric stove indoors. Not even induction.

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 237d

Probably drives an electric car too.

Might even have energy efficient lightbulbs! 😬

krooklochurm@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 237d

Meant pipes but I'm leaving it because it's funny.

"Holy father of crack, bless me for I have sinned. It has been 6 hours since I have last smoked crack"
