Ventured into the city to check out the new train stations and have a general wander around. Love the new stations!! Topped off with a delicious ramen meal from a place we hadn't tried yet.
We did it a bit funny as we drove into the city and started at State Library, went to Arden, down to Anzac and back to Town Hall. But that was more about which trains were coming or going. Just start at whichever you land closest to!
Vacuum cleaner really sucks. 10/10 would vacuum again.
It does a much better job than the old stick, possibly better than the plug in vacuum too. The auto emptying feature is amazing, you just hang it up on the charging station and it automatically vacuums the dust out into a bag in the tower without you having to do anything. I let it get to 90% charge before I tried it out and it didn't have enough power to do the whole house, but I didn't figure out how to put it on the low power mode (which is all it needs for the hard floor areas) until I'd nearly finished, so it shouild be fine to do the whole lot in future. And it has the second battery if I want to use the handheld to do other bits or to use the mopping attachment too. Once I get enough charge in the battery again I'll try the mopping head out. It's just damp spinning microfibre pads, so I can't see how it could not work ok.
You can get a version that has a robot vacuum that docks underneath the tower, but after the nasty tail-tangling incident where a robot tried to eat my dog's tail I don't trust those things.
It's an LG, 9x ultra2. I upsold myself quite a bit when I saw the auto emptying feature, I hate cleaning and then having to deal with a canister of dust and hair which invariably makes a new mess.
home from shopping, got a nice little aussie art book, some nice tucker, beads for doing beading which I find very relaxing, the Air cd I got wasn't actually Air, just some new age rubbish ( lol ) but otherwise a fruitful day
and also am now changed and showered after unknowingly sitting on a damp seat on the train
just finished my second bottle of craft brewed bundy, bundy creamy soda
met them at the detroit edm festival in a bar, we had lots of beers, told jokes, put music on the jukebox and danced. I pretended I did not figure out who they were.
c'mon, french guys at the edm that looks exactly like them? lol
That's so cool! I only recently saw them live for the first time at the 25th Anniversary show of Moon Safari at Sidney Myer Music Bowl and it was AMAAASZZZZZINNNGGGGG
Thanks for the kind offer, but I think I've got enough space to try it out here ๐
I've just installed the app - it is wifi connected so I can check on the battery charge level without leaving my seat, it will remind me when I need to clean filters and it monitors how much time I've used it for. Hopefully not in a creepy way.
I suspect it's more useful for the robot vac where you are not actively using it yourself. They seem to like to put wifi into everything these days though.
The only other appliance I have with wifi is my rice cooker. The wifi is very useful for me because I bought the cooker cheap and it is Chinese, so I can't actually tell what any of the buttons do. The app has an English version, so without that I can't do anything except basic rice starting right now. With it I can set the timer and make youghurt and other things.
Taste sensation : cos lettuce leaf with a slice of camembert and some stoned cherries, rolled up and eaten like a hot dog. Yummmmm. Perfect for a hottish night.
My vaccuum cleaner came with a voucher for 10% of it's purchase price, so I've just ordered a fancy red pair of Kitchenaid beaters. I've been resisting buying a pair when mine broke because I knew mum would have some she doesn't need when she moved into the serviced apartment, but it turns out I really hate the ones she had - the beaters keep coming out while you are using it! I don't know if they are faulty or really badly designed.
Iโm in the doghouse. Went out to resow the dead grass pots, Melbcat slipped out when I was coming in and I had to wrangle her back inside. But that sun has a bite to it and it wasnโt a good time to be out.
I just bought tickets to the jazz dance adaptation of The Great Gatsby because it want to see how tf they adapt something like that to dance. It will be a good reason to reread the book as I'm not a book rereader even though there are ones I'd like to revisit

I've got my six year old niece's birthday party to get to, and no idea when I'll be able to leave the house. For fuck's sake

Thinking of doing this with the kids, especially while pt is free on weekends

Highly recommend! We really enjoyed it. Some of the elements of the stations made us think we were in a video game.

I have the best marketplace story.
Make plans to meet a dude at 7-11 about 15 mins from my house at 10am.
I'm waiting and this hardcore crackhead on a pushy carrying a literal kitchen sink rolls past, takes one look at me and rides off.
2 seconds later the marketplace dude leaves the chat hahaha
Fucking crackheads lol

there were lots of Blue Bottles washed up yesterday, a few dozen, careful not to touch as they are venomous
and a little fish washed up, don't know what it is, thought it looked cute even tho it dead

Yikes.
Apparently a beach in portsea was closed the other day b/c of blue bottles. A fair few sighted in ocean grove aswell.
What's the go these days? are we still peeing on stings or good ol' vinegar?
edit: just googled.. no peeing.
