Bees are venomous not poisonous.

Where's my golden star?

It says what it says

Zulu@lemmy.world · 26 pts · 209d

True. Everyone knows car thiefs enjoy a nice bee snack. Venemous bees arent good enough, they need to be poisonous too now. We really are ignoring geneva conventions these days.

A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 209d (2 replies)

Bees are only venomous if they sting you.

But if you are eating delicious bee snacks out of a stolen purse, you'd need them to be poisoned to hurt the thief.

edit I just realized Zulu made the same comment I did, like 2 hours earlier. Fuck, now I look like a copy and paste bot.

I showed up here to make this joke too, haha

lividweasel@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 209d

Username checks out? 😉

Would the bees be poisonous if one ingested a purse full of bees full of sting venom?

Diddlydee@feddit.uk · 2 pts · 209d (1 reply)

No. You still need to get stung in your mouth or throat, and that's venom. You can eat bees til the cows come home. I wouldn't eat the purse though.

You can eat bees til the cows come

As far as ways to pass the time while waiting for livestock goes, it's not the MOST conventional, but I guess we all need at least one hobby 🤷

supergrizzlybear@pawb.social · 2 pts · 209d (1 reply)

if you bite it and you die then its poisonous

if it bites you and you die then its venomous

so yeah i suppose it would

samus12345@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 209d

You don't have to die for it to be either.

stupidcasey@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 209d (1 reply)

Then you are using the wrong Bee's not our fault you don't have degree in Bio-engineering.

Ek-Hou-Van-Braai@piefed.social · 2 pts · 209d

You don't need to be a rocket surgeon to know bees aren't poisonous, they're venomous

Soulphite@reddthat.com · 1 pts · 209d

How do you know for certain that the bee isn't coated in poison? Perhaps said bees wallowed in poison ivy effectively coating themselves in the leaves poisonous oil? We can't assume, you know what they say about assumptions?

Ach@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 209d

You don't actually know that. Perhaps they marinaded the bees in cyanide hoping the burglar would eat them.

Okay so I filled a purse with bees like this sign said and now I can’t get back into my car. They’ve been swarming this whole time and I’m too scared to open the door.

blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 209d

I'll just keep a cardboard box on the back seat with a big H on it

SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 4 pts · 209d
ultrahamster64@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 209d

Just don't get the purses mixed up

ceenote@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 209d (1 reply)

What if the thief has a beekeeping hobby? You'd be playing right into their hands.

lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 209d

Beekeepers are more likely to be allergic to bees since allergies develop at contact. This is irrelevant because the bees are already supposed to be venomous but now you know

wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 209d

That's why you arrive in a stolen car and leave the keys in it. You get the joyride, they do the time.

stupidcasey@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 209d (1 reply)

If you did this your window would still be broken when you come back and your car would he filled with poisonous Bees, funny AF but still won't save your car.

Exusia@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 209d

As long as no one eats my pet poison-bees

Diddlydee@feddit.uk · 3 pts · 209d (1 reply)

He's a poet and he doesn't know it.

ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org · 2 pts · 209d

Could use some improvement. For example, you generally have to do the steps in reverse order. Except mechanical locks, for which it's 4-3-1-2.

gerryflap@feddit.nl · 3 pts · 209d

Nooooo! Don't make all those bees angry and lock them up. Bees need to be happy. Let them roam freely.

Use wasps instead, those fuckers can rot in hell.

trxxruraxvr@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 209d

Beter use wasps, they can sting multiple times

unknownuserunknownlocation@kbin.earth · 1 pts · 209d (3 replies)

Can't tell if this is photoshopped or not..

B1ackmsth@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 209d (2 replies)

Can confirm it's not. I've seen these signs in person

unknownuserunknownlocation@kbin.earth · 1 pts · 209d (1 reply)

Really? That's hilarious and kind of awesome. Where?

B1ackmsth@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 209d

On Vancouver Island, BC Canada

FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 209d
