Several times I've seen someone whining about lemmy.ml and tankies, then I've checked their comment history. Every 4th or 5th comment has been about lemmy.ml and tankies, going back weeks. Completely obsessed.
My comment is meant as a potential add on to the meme, clowning on people who are (negatively) obsessed with lemmy.ml and bring it up even though the op did not. There are a few such examples in the comments here, for example.
"RT? ThaTS PrOpAgaNdA! Not like the NYT or BBC, truly unyielding credible sources!" - average comment from lib instances that encounters a non-western source LMBO!
Can you even define that word? Because i only see it used as a thought terminating cliche that just means "government i don't agree with". Can you name a single non-"authoritarian" government?
All states are instruments by which one class asserts its power over the others, this is true. However, if you stop your analysis there, you confuse capitalist states where the capitalists dominate the state with socialist states where the working classes are in charge of the state. Equating the two based on the presense of the state alone, and ignoring its class character, is a massive error. Where capitalism brings ruin and misery to the working classes, socialism brings liberation.

I check out your instance sometimes, and it's wall to wall people gnashing their teeth and rending their garments about our existence. They're obsessed with us, and the things they say are all the things in this meme. It seems like a bad time over there.
