Second verse, same as the first.

It's almost like America is a failed state because Americans are braindead morons who will let you rob them blind as long as you tell them they are part of an extra special freedom team.

Yeah! Don't unsell our stupidity and failures! We've work tirelessly to be proudly ignorant. Stupid intellectuals trying to give us the benefit of the doubt are the real no brian morans!

This is damage control on the the stock market and posturing for his base, Iran doesnt seem to be backing down and the longer this drags out the more certain disaster for the global economy becomes.

WanderingThoughts@europe.pub · 9 pts · 162d

Probably. The outlook for a long war might pop a bubble that's keeping "his" economy afloat.

CompactFlax@discuss.tchncs.de · 33 pts · 162d

Saw the multitude of economic indicators and worried for a minute.

He had a press conference, very recently, "over soon, but if Iran does anything more, destruction of everything". including reference to shipping in Straits. Iran knows he's bluffing, and has run out of missiles, and will not put the navy within their drone range, but at any rate, Trump's Israel masters won't let him off the hook.

sturmblast@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 161d (2 replies)

Lol the USA have not run out of missiles lol

humanspiral@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 161d (1 reply)

They don't produce that many per year, and they need rare earth material access to build more. Trump feeling the need to say there is an unlimited supply, should be proof enough that they've run out. The Quadrupling of orders could affect future wars, but is a definite reaction to limited current supplies.

sturmblast@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 161d

Trump is full of shit first of all. And we are nowhere close to running low on munitions

shawn1122@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 161d

The cost differential between ballistics and interceptors (10x or more) would be one factor but doubt the US/Israel is close to running out yet.

BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 161d

So it is a war. Which means it is illegal because Congress has not sanctioned it. Arrest the criminal fucker.

And here I was thinking that it takes one side to start a war but two to stop it. The US seems to be in a no win scenario. Either they just call it a day while publicly claiming victory, which in practice results in an Iranian victory, or they commit to a ground campaign, which is Afghanistan all over again but much bigger in scope.

Nighed@feddit.uk · 5 pts · 161d

Yeh, the US opened Pandora's box here. You can't just close it again.

ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net · 2 pts · 161d

Either they just call it a day while publicly claiming victory, which in practice results in an Iranian victory,

That was the greatest victory US ever had. We won, and we won bigly. Iran leader was begging me not to kill him. Iranian children were hiding like dogs. Some people say we didn't win but they are traitors and communists.

It's quite obvious that Iran (or at least its current regime) is fighting a war of survival. If the current regime stays in power and gains the ability to open and close Hormuz at will, that should be a win for Iran. If the US cannot guarantee safe shipping through Hormuz, that is a loss for them. In my book that seems pretty straightforward.

‘Very Complete, Pretty Much’

Almost nowhere near?

Definitely almost?

Precisely in general?

Tattorack@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 161d

And we still don't even have a declared goal for this war. Uhm... Besides all the bullshit religious rhetoric, of course.

Trump will end the war, claim success and oil will be below $60 by summer. Announcement coming this week

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

GuyIncognito@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 161d

The good news and the bad news is this doesn't indicate the war is over.

phutatorius@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 160d

Translation: his attention span has been exceeded, so he'll stand in front of a MISSION ACCOMPLISHED banner, then move on to the next distraction while the war drags on.

intrepid@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 161d

Oh! Stop projecting and retreat already! Nobody else asked for any of this. This is on you and your moron squad alone.

nert@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 161d (1 reply)

So they failed in pulling in Iran’s neighbors to fight for them and now it’s over.

Israel got to kill some children and invade Lebanon. They used this fool to gain couple of smaller and bigger wins again. Nothing else matters here.
