There is no evidence for that claim. However, there is no secret in that Donald Trump would like the USA to be like russia: no free media, infinite terms, string Präsident and the olygarchs beeing in control of the whole economy.

Trump keeps containing Russia. Syria is lost for Russia and Russia was split from Iran. The US just force Europe to pay for Ukraine, but that is not an advantage for Russia. Russian allies Cuba and Venezuela are attacked.
The rumor is advantageous for Trump because he can do anything and people blame Russia.

Russia isn't losing anything by sacrificing humans & infrastructure within it's vassal states. If anything, it'll make it easier for them. Cuba is only in their interest due to it's strategic location. Venezuela is useful for it's oil. Syria is a buffer. That's not how I see them, but strategically; that's what they are. And by "them" & "Russians", I don't mean the average citizen. I mean the ones in charge. I feel like I should make that clear.

It's easy to come to this conclusion, but as of now there is no real evidence. Just keep in mind that Trump attacked Iran and Venezuela and puts heavy pressure on Cuba. All 3 of them russian allies.
I think by worshipping the idea of a US-dictatorship, he acts AS IF he was a Russian asset.
