Projects, not games, the developer clarified. Some are games, some are DLCs and such.

Are people interested in the vampire survivors IP? Like the game is good but i'm not particularly interested in the new deck builder. I could be wrong. Maybe they just know how to make good games whatever the genre.

It’s so fucking good. Like so, so good haha.

I really enjoy Balatro / Slay the Spire [II] though, so YMMV

if you look at the previous DLCs we can probably guess what they are, it's vampire survivor + more famous IP. many jokes are also only for Italians (as in, they require national memes knowledge)

I think they are working on a Warhammer 40K reskin of survivors as well?

I honestly have no idea. I know I’m not very invested in it. It is interesting that they’ve seen enough success to build more games though. So we will see what happens.

I tried the rogue like dungeon crawler demo during next fest and it was fine, enjoyed it while I was playing it but quickly forgot about it. I'm not interested in the IP but interested in what they'll do next since they kicked off an entire genre.

I'm looking forward to this one

It's really easy and starting to feel kind of boring. They (the developer) have some fun ideas and I hope they keep growing but the bad UI is already old on the second game and so far it doesn't feel super well thought out. I'm probably going to give it some more time, it's at least easy enough to play on steam deck but unless some depth or strategy appears I probably won't be playing it for long.

That said for $10 I'll probably at least "get my money's worth from it" but I don't see it holding my attention for as long as something like slay the spire 2.

What is "IP" in this context?

EarMaster@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 116d

Intellectual property - as in other famous franchises or brands. Think of a Marvel themed game or DLC.

Strider@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 116d

I don't gaf about the IP, but instant purchased the new game. Also, the price helps.

Anyone play Vampire Crawlers and liked it? I saw it just released. Just wanted to ask before purchasing

yermaw@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 116d

Just started playing it on gamepass today. 7 hours felt like 1 hour.

If you liked vampire survivor youll probably like this. Its got the same basic loop but deckbuildery instead of enemy-dodgery. If you didnt like the randomness and the "farm the other levels til youre powerful enough for this level" of it all you probably wont have a good time here.

I played the hell out of the demo and just started playing the main game. I love it. I recommend the demo though, you can carry your progress over so there no reason not to try it out first

pheonixdown@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 116d

I played the demo, was solidly fun, it's on my list, but I'm still on StS2 atm.

DaniloT@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 115d

I really like it, been playing it a lot, but it's definitely different than vampire survivors so I wouldn't recommend it based on that. The demo gives a good idea of the experience though, I'd suggest to try it out.

What about work on the online multiplayer on switch? It crashes every other time halfway through my games
