It do be facts tho.

No, wait... he's gotta be at least a 12?!?

lemmyng@lemmy.ca · 35 pts · 113d

He's at least 12 material, but he's so humble he doesn't claim to be more than 11. That clearly makes him a 13.

You're thinking of his wife, Legolas.

Is this a 30 Rock reference?

lemmy_get_my_coat@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 112d

Oh yeah, that's what it was!

Works better in Dutch, where eleven and elf are synonyms.

pulsey@feddit.org · 9 pts · 112d (3 replies)

In German too, but our gendered articles get in the way: eine Elf vs ein Elf.

Sasquatch@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 111d

wait which one gets eine? Are all elves feminine(like, i know they are, but still), or are numbers gendered?

Akasazh@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 112d (1 reply)

Doesn't 'ich bin elf' work, in a way?

groet@feddit.org · 7 pts · 112d

That would be understood by almost everyone as "I am eleven years old"

What?

Somsphet@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 111d

This deserves more attention.

If Boromir is a ten, I'm a three. Therefore, I'm not invited to his speech and will remove myself from the premises.

Your dad might not, but we still love you Faramir.

NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 111d

The movies actually tone down a bit how much of a beast Boromir is in battle because they want to build up Aragorn for the later films. In the book he’s notorious among the orcs and they’re absolutely terrified of him.

Drusas@fedia.io · 2 pts · 113d

Aragorn was the hottest Lucifer as well.
