He's not going to be brought back down to earth until he is under the earth.

Zahille7@lemmy.world · 39 pts · 119d (3 replies)

I think the only time reality will actually hit him (while he's still living) is when the muzzle is pushed right against his skull

Salamanderwizard@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 119d (2 replies)

I would have that painted and put on my wall.

What a great documentary from the future fictional movie

Iusedtobeanalien@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 118d

That's what the bunker is for

Of course he wants to remove troops from Europe if he wants to impose a state of martial law, he wants them on American streets

venusaur@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 119d

He’ll be brought down to earth when his masters tell him to do so

MastKalandar@feddit.online · -2 pts · 119d

The same way as happened with Khameni ??😆😆😆😆😆

DagwoodIII@piefed.social · 71 pts · 119d (9 replies)

Trump has never been brought 'back to Earth' by any of his many, many failures.

https://youtu.be/3ACCHxF4Afc

He gets caught in a lie, in public, and just smiles and nods.

In his mind, he's perfect, and no one can tell him different.

prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 21 pts · 119d (7 replies)

As much as I want to wake up to the news that he's dead, I would kill for a live stream of someone just completely breaking him psychologically first.

I'm really not a psychopath, but I could make an exception for this guy.

anon_8675309@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 119d (4 replies)

The goal is control, not truth for a narcissist. You can’t break him. He’ll just continue to lie or throw into a rage. You can show him a video of him throwing a baby off a boat and he’ll gaslight you but you’ll never break him.

angrystego@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 119d

Everyone can be broken. He's not that special. Definitely not as special as he wishes everyone to think he is.

prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 8 pts · 119d (1 reply)

Then just waterboard him

k0e3@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 118d

I think making him watch a deepfake of Obama boning his daughter would instantly pop an artery.

DagwoodIII@piefed.social · 3 pts · 119d

Exactly.

George on 'Seinfeld' once advised Jerry that it isn't a lie if you believe it's true.

DagwoodIII@piefed.social · 8 pts · 119d (1 reply)

There's a Kurt Vonnegut story.

A woman loves to help her friends decorate their homes. She has a book of plans for her own house. One day her husband gets an inheritance and decides to make her plans reality. He whisks her away for a vacation while her freinds/family redo the house. They rid of all the old, ugly furniture and replace it with exactly what she has in her dream book. When she steps in the place everyone expects her to be surprised, but she doesn't notice. In her mind the house always looked the way she dreamed.

I think Trump is that level of delusional. No matter what you said to him, it would just prove he was right.

Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 118d

I think he ingrains his lies and just keeps telling himself they are true. You do that enough and only the most traumatic to your psyche are still indistinguishable from lies. So I do believe he thinks he is smart, the most popular person ever, the best deal maker, etc. But you can tell what lies he hasn't fully been ingrained and ause they still bother him, like the 2020 election.

TotallynotJessica@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 11 pts · 119d

He can only be reigned in by powerful forces exerting serious leverage over him, and only if it's powerful enough to override his will. He could potentially lose Congress and not be able to rig enough elections to stop it, but I doubt it'll do much to hold him back. He'll probably go hard with accusations of voter fraud and use it as an excuse to meddle himself or make Congress an irrelevant political body.

And that's why they are pre-rigging the elections

FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world · -16 pts · 119d (5 replies)

No, they're not. In fact, they've largely abandoned the gerrymandering push because it worked against them in Texas. (Not out of ethics or altruism, of course, but because it was working against them.)

If anything, they're bending over and taking it, though some are grift-maxxing before the clock runs out. This president and his cronies have managed to make themselves so historically unpopular that they can't even project where they will have strength with enough accuracy to leverage all the different state majorities that they possess. They are getting legitimate Socialists elected. They have lost almost every election in 2025 and 2026, and most of those occurred in districts where Donald won by double digits in 2024. Going by the numbers he is even less popular than Jimmy Carter, and that takes effort because Carter is synonymous with 'shitty president'.

They thought they had a mandate to reboot the Gestapo, when in fact, they were elected on affordability and decided to turbo-charge price gouging and inflation.

2026 is going to be a political bloodbath for the red team. The major downer here is that the blue team isn't going to do anything meaningful to stop them or create positive change either.

redsand@infosec.pub · 12 pts · 119d (2 replies)

Copium. This is May 3rd. Got a long way to go to November and pretending gerrymandering is the only way they intend to cheap is laughably naive

FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world · -8 pts · 119d (1 reply)

Totally man.

Looking at observable facts and using that as a basis for one's opinion = Copium.

redsand@infosec.pub · 5 pts · 119d

Hey here's an observable fact. The DNC is majority owned by AIPAC. Ghislaine Maxwell will be pardoned. The dark enlightenment douche's plans are on track.

Krono@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 118d

But what about the SAVE act?

The presidents primary domestic legislature is set to rewrite the rules of voting, if passed.

The way the law is currently written, your Real ID will not be sufficient to vote. You will need a passport to confirm your ID, which is something 50% of Americans do not have.

DrDickHandler@lemmy.world · -2 pts · 119d

There won't be an elections. Very cute of you to think voting matters at this point. Republicans aren't going anywhere.

Tattorack@lemmy.world · 27 pts · 119d

The news I'd like to hear is that he's buried in the earth.

the_armchair_potato@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 119d (3 replies)

Going to take the world a long time to forgive Americans for voting in this maniac. Hopefully, they have learned a lesson...but I doubt it🙄

bimbobear@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 119d

Three times. They voted for this maniac three times. Only once they failed to get him into office, and when they did have the opportunity to do anything they utterly failed to act.

Both sides have a vast amount of work to do before they even get back to neutral.

rayyy@piefed.social · 1 pts · 118d

Hey buddy. Fox news says he is the greatest of all time. Who ya gunna believe your eyes and ears or the words of the savior of mankind?

As you keep bringing him back down to earth, please don't stop there, bring him a little further than that. About six feet would do it.

sleepmode@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 119d

Not really. He’s milking the petrodollar pump and dump every damn Friday. But that’s drying up so he’s pivoting to Cuba.

HubertManne@piefed.social · 7 pts · 119d

trump will launch the missiles and tell the other 5 guys left alive that its bidens fault.

stretch2m@infosec.pub · 6 pts · 119d (1 reply)

One, you have to have once been on earth to get back to earth. Two, I guarantee he lacks the necessary self-reflection.

Species8472@discuss.tchncs.de · 1 pts · 119d

He self reflects in the mirror every day.

baines@piefed.social · 5 pts · 119d

yet another obvious bait article

Treczoks@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 119d (1 reply)

While he is going to face a waterloo at the ballot box, he is not back down to earth. He mentally is still in cloud cuckoo land, and making stupid military decisions he is not qualified to make.

Flower@sh.itjust.works · 8 pts · 119d

No, he's just going to try to sabotage the voting in some way. Lots of institutions are already filled with henchmen and loyalists. The people don't rise up too much and ICE can suppress the ones that do protest. And it's just the dictator thing to do.

AA5B@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 119d

Yeah, but now we have unlimited fishing of an endangered stock, so well all vote for drumpf
