If any Scientology member is in any media, it is on my "do not watch" list. I will never support that cult financially. And by the way, where is Shelley? She was last seen 2007 at her fathers funeral, and the police doesn't do shit.
WDYM WTF? I once tried to commit suicide by shooting myself in the chest 3x. I was still alive so I ate some concrete, grabbed a different gun and shot myself in the head.
Or the guy that suicided himself in his apartment in London, thankfully he was considerate enough to wipe his phone and lock himself in a suitcase in the bathtub after though.
I've always thought how ridiculously on the nose it was for her to star in a TV show where she was breaking out of a religious cult...and that she was in one IRL. Especially that her IRL cult has been linked to murders, silencing witnesses, and a miriad of other illegal acts. She just swapped roles apparently.
He also sucks the life out of nearly every role he's cast in (the one pictured above being a rare exception.) The guy is a walking void of charisma, and I avoid his movies due to the simple fact that they're made worse by his involvement.
Edge of tomorrow - he is fine in that perfect movie
Tropic Thunder - he is hilarious
rain man
the last samurai
minority report
magnolia - perfect fit for the role
It always bugs me when they make one of his books into a movie because there never is a reason to cut the important parts out. I would understand if the books were long, or had concepts that are too difficult to bring to the screen. Instead its cut because no one wants movies you have to think about.
The one silver lining I guess is that when people say "you really should read the book" with PKD stories they end up being so different that they really feal like a different story. They tend to not have the Green Lantern Effect where the movie ruins the original story for you.
Yeah, spoilers don't quite work because he is always so out there! They took some little different thing and ran with that instead of the full crazy. I feel like Terry Gilliam would have made good PKD movies. He gets insanity.
This is one of the Mandela effect things, where the correct title (well, right now, in this universe) is the vampire. Where does this image come from?!
People know the ‘I only read Playboy for the articles’ joke but it’s genuinely why the magazine lasted as long as it has. Playboy certainly wasn’t the only one doing nude photography nor was it the most extreme.
But the magazine has had some genuinely great writers over the years. Notable ones like Roald Dahl, Jack Kerouac, Ian Fleming, Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, Hunter S. Thompson and a whole slew of journalists and columnists who went on to write great stuff.
Playboy tended to give their writers a lot of freedom and published things others wouldn’t. After all, if you’re already controversial, you might as well publish controversial writing.
I saw one of the mission impossible movies on an airplane because I don't know before I realized it had Tom Cruise and I think a lot of the appeal of those movies is watching Tom Cruise('s stunt double) get hurt, but I can suspend disbelief for long enough to watch the stunt dude get hurt and then go watch something else. Stunt dude did all right.

Yeah this is like the old joke where a black dude was found in a ditch with 17 stabs in the back, and police determined it was a suicide

you don't HAVE to hand it to Tom Cruise. You certainly CAN, but by no means are you required to.
