My experience on the upper level of a bus in winter suggests they’re greenhouses on wheels with CO2 levels that may be risky (I always exited the bus with a headache and slight nausea). I can only imagine what it’s like in proper heat.

The windows just let in hot air in that weather.

The problem is, on the few buses where the aircon actually works, everyone just opens all the windows rendering it pointless.
