So in SI units with dollars/euros $3.24/liter or 2.84e/liter. That's pretty close to what we're paying anyway in EU already some places

As a yank who lived in the UK for some time, I got used to liters for petrol, but I could never get used to metric grams and kilograms for cooking.

For the past 10 years it's been $2-$4/gallon or less. The Russian government subsidizes the price of gasoline with revenues from the sale of crude oil.

I feel bad for the Ukrainians stuck under occupied rule, but I hope the Russians who moved to Crimea post annexation in a West Bank-esque sort of move end up stranded during an emergency situation and die.
