every so often we experience some chemical reactions inside of us that make us wish for contact with other beings of our same nature to get in the same act that serves as a way to preserve our species, and our personalities suffer subtle changes that favour that to happen
after that we return to our usual (and sometimes shyer) self until time pases and the cycle repeats

If there's one thing we have in common with most animals, it's fuckin'.

There is almost always a rutting season and it can get very intense. With humans hornyness is all the time and more controlled.

I hate to think that this is controlled horniness, what we experience

We are bound to and programmed by biology like every other animal out there! Creating healthy offspring is the highest imperative in nature and it is very deep anchored in us all. Yes we have a sentient mind and the power to, more or less, control our urges and to override the programming with other imperatives but that doesn't change that it is still in us all and that it has power.

Well, yeah, of course not. We are just another mammal.

We're actually quite unique. Most mammals don't have menstrual cycles, they have estrous cycles. And the erectile penis is also unique. Most male mammals have penis bones.

The wiki pages for "Baculum" and "Menstruation_(mammal)" where quite interesting, thanks!
Not quite the most unique thing about us, but we're in rather small club with some pretty cool mammals!

Gosh, I wonder if that's why horny humans are sometimes metaphorically referred to as being "in heat" 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
