I'm a man and I accidentally commented on women's stuff just like you here. I'm mostly here to have a good time or to find information and your comment made me chuckle. Be my guest 💖
And maybe we should docker container prune as well, just too be sure?
lol i've made the reverse mistake and been flayed... but I dont think it matters here. As a woman (or any other non man gender) you can be a dullman too!
Surprisingly I live in a normal house but my in laws are incapable of downsizing, instead opting to throw another shipping container on the driveway when they get more stuff
It is. Its caused me a great deal of stress over the last 2 years but I've found the best solution is to realize its out of my control and just be a good man for my partner and a good father for my daughter. No point losing sleep over things out of my control. Easier said than done sometimes
I completely agree. At this point in time my take home pay isn't enough for us to move out. Once my daughter is at school and my partner gets a job we'll move out
Some time in the distant future, you will have far less sorting and disposing of things you do not want or need. You will merely need to call a truck to haul the containers away and have it all auctioned off.
Source: I have settled 2 estates. My parents and a great aunt. It's a miserable job going through a lifetime's collection of "stuff".
This sounds real savage but I've given up on the idea they will fix this themselves so I'm resigned to the fact it'll me us that has to do it once they are gone.
I actually thought you work in a container ship or something. This is insane. Who even needs three containers full of stuff? They are absolutrly destroying their property for just some more storage space.
When I moved in they cleared a few of the rooms which lead to another two containers. They turned the garage into a bedroom which again, all that stuff went into containers. They do add more stuff over time slowly too.
No no you got it wrong. The way to measure life quality in your city was whether you could see three *trees *from your window, not three shipping containers. Easy to confuse, I know.

This comment is exactly the kind of dull content I’m here for.

Had never thought of it like that but yes it does a wonderful job at this

(I just realized that this is the dull men’s club, and I am not a men’s. I’ll delete if this is inappropriate)
ETA: The wholesome-ness on display here is sickening, and I love it 😬 I am a part of the tree now!

Dullness trumps gender, so you're good

Dullness supremacy!

I don't believe they are strict with that stuff here like woman's stuff is.
BartyDeCanter@piefed.social · 16 pts · 16d
Dullards of all genders are welcome here. Just don’t be too excited.
Bluewing@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 15d
As far as I'm concerned, if you are into dull things, you are welcome here. And if you are not a men's, you can be an honorary one here.

I encourage everyone to use !Dullsters@dullsters.net, but I realize that's a losing battle. 😅

It's a typo and represents a type of grown child. As Anakin once said while flirting with Padme, "not just the men, but the women and dullmen too"
dihutenosa@piefed.social · 2 pts · 15d
"man" as in human. Like "mankind" also contains women. As they say, "the male embraces the female" from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_they

I admire your priorities, although you may want to consider that your daughter is learning that this is normal and okay, which it is not. 😬

Yep
The house is full of shit too. I've just had to let it go to some degree. The first year living here was a real challenging adjustment
Shellofbiomatter@lemmus.org · 5 pts · 15d
What? Please tell me I'm interpreting this wrong.
They're buying just random stuff(basically clutter), in quantities to fill shipping containers, multiple times? How can they afford it even?
philanthropicoctopus@thelemmy.club · 3 pts · 15d
Kind of.
When I moved in they cleared a few of the rooms which lead to another two containers. They turned the garage into a bedroom which again, all that stuff went into containers. They do add more stuff over time slowly too.

But the shipping containers are creatures of the sea, so also inspiring like trees.

philanthropicoctopus@thelemmy.club · 4 pts · 16d
Very fair point. I live in residential with hoarders
mavu@discuss.tchncs.de · 4 pts · 16d
should be careful, it's probably illegal to live in a shipping container on the harbor premises.
billwashere@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 15d
You should move. Or buy a flame thrower.
