Casual transphobia with the intent to damage an entire community, vs, say calling a girl a penis in playground insult competition are complete worlds apart
I don't like the guy, but cmon - judge people on how they actively vote for/against your rights, and less on their careless remarks, lest you make a needless enemy out of a potential friend to your cause
That being said, his voting record raises some questionmarks, so hey
being a girl with a penis isnt an insult. using it as in insult is transphobic, no matter how harmless you think it is. also wtf are you talking about, voting records? hes a fucking celebrity what votes of his are being recorded? yeah judge people by their actions, like actively supporting a homophobic institution.
Change my mind is Steven Crowder, as bad as Kirk was, Crowder is worse, by a magnitude I'd say. Im also not sure what the Tate preference is, I know of the Drake one, didn't follow it too closely but apparently turned out he's not a great guy either?
195 is a long deactivated precursor subreddit (there's also 197 that was created because some people didn't like 196 I think? 🤔), I was never there, don't ask me what the 195 means.
195 was the original experiment on Reddit. It lasted a year until dissolution (planned from the start) and massively blew up in size during its lifetime. It then spawned 196 after closing, as many people wanted to keep it going and really liked the community. Later down the line, 19684 was made to be exactly like 196, but you couldn't mention anything sexual, so basically no hornyposting.
Anyways this place is much cooler without Reddit. Be gay, do crime, keep kink weird, and yeah all that stuff.

It's a dumb law.
festnt@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 25d
that's pretty common in laws

Afaik, it refers to rule one of this community:
folks would leave posts being like "I gotta follow the rule" and then it kinda just snowballed from there.
jballs@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 26d
I think originally all post titles were literally just "rule" and then it loosened up from there

We need a new clueless hunk meme.
Chris Pratt is part of a homophobic church, and thinks casual transphobia is funny

And also bizarre gaslighting attempts later saying stuff like “I have no idea why everyone thinks I’m really into Jesus!”. Gee, I dunno Chris!

While we're asking questions, does the number 196 have any significance?
Zgierwoj@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 45 pts · 27d
Its one higher than 195.

IIRC it was the apartment number of the original creator(s). "The apartment of AWESOME."
