By comparative linguistics, "Twix" is clearly Germanic in origin, and the singular ought to be Onx.
"Unix" is from the parallel Latinate sequence. Unfortunately, the parallel term to "Twix", and the successor of "Unix", ought to be Bix, which does exist, but is only found in Commonwealth English in the compound Weet(a)bix.
Triscuits may seem to be relevant at this point, but are a part of neither sequence on account of actually being an abbreviation of "Electricity Biscuit"
This sounds just believable enough that I'm willing to take you at your word and allow this whimsically joyful mirth to infuse itself upon my day. Thank you.

Dubious etymology is fun.

I’ll have to mentally unmantle this later.
Logic; it has to be mantled first of all in order to be dismantled, then it could be remantled before finally unmantled.

My gaming rig runs a dual booting Twix system with Twix on each side for a double dunk of that sweetness.
