If I'm not early somewhere, I'm already late. For me being on time is already late.
That's a behavior i can actually trqce back to childhood to my mother who, tho this day, is always late everywhere. I kinda developed slight anxiety around it and now I'm overcompensating and I'm always too early to everywhere, generally early enough that i would be slightly early even with any backup transportation method.
im always early because i stress out waiting for it and then im like "ok it takes 30 minutes to get ready, better start 40m early. Then i leave when im ready after rushing which only took me 25m. And then i the time it takes to get there is 30m and so i take 40m..." and this just keeps adding up and im there an hour early
I always start out ready to leave really early, panic about how early I'll be, panic also about not being late, lose sense of time tasking, and arrive 10 min late. Used to be much worse when my brother's family would do nothing but joke about how late I was, which fed directly into that anxiety and I was consistently 40-50 minutes late to every one of his functions.
If I have to go to a new place I've never been before (so I don't know the roads, or the trains/buses that get me there) I'll calculate the ETA and add some time to account for possible delays. The further I have to go, the more time I'll add. I prefer to be the one waiting than the one you have to wait for.
If I know the place and I've been there before, I'll arrive, at max, 5 minutes early (never late) unless there is something unexpected, but that is really rare.
Same. It's just basic courtesy and showing respect for the other person.
My (long-since-ex) wife was happy about this when we were dating, but when I tried to hold her to it when we were to meet other people she hated it and made excuses every time.
I am always late. My brain always tells me there is more time. Mental tricks, new alarms, etc all work for a while and then become ineffective. It doesn't matter that I know being late can be considered disrespectful, even. I am great at showing up on time the first couple of times, then it degrades. Sucks and is annoying.
On Wednesday I figured out how to mute my air fryer. I still naturally walk to open it as the counter is under ten seconds, even from another room. My time sense is kind of overdeveloped.
I was born two weeks before my due date. The running joke in my family is that it was the only time I was ever early for anything.
I have no idea what the problem is - I meet deadlines at work, I'm pretty great at time management in general, I just seem to be spectacularly bad at moving my body from one location to another.
I actually did this last week at band lol. I'm usually the later one. I come a bit early and then everyone else messages saying theyre gonna be late xD
If I notice I’m gonna be late I’m gonna be late late, whether it’s going to work or elsewhere. I’ll take a detour, grab some coffee, go on a soul searching expedition in the Himalayas etc.

Yeah this is the same as me, I didn't expect so many autistic people to be the other way around honestly
