Nice brown square you got there, it'd be a shame if someone was using light mode right now

It's a reference to their video on brown, specifically the part where they change only the background color of a image with an orange square in it and it swings basically from orange to brown

It's a really interesting watch

Also your link is broken, the URL should be in the parentheses. And if you want the image as a reply the brackets should be empty with an exclamation point in front and the link needs to end in an image extension.

Like so

Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

Nice.

I see Technology Connections - I upvote

Dettweiler42@lemmyonline.com · 76 pts · 2y (5 replies)

I see people talking about upvoting Technology Connections, I upvote.

His dishwasher video changed my life.

Geek_King@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 2y

Hah, same here. The dishwasher video was my beginning with his channel. I adore is dry humor, and informative nature!

captainlezbian@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y

It has made my dishes cleaner and my grocery trips more frustrating

SkippingRelax@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y (1 reply)

alright, never heard of him. everyone on this thread seems to love his channel. Blindly subscribed so I'll watch the dishwasher video later, I'm intrigued now.

SkippingRelax@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y

That was good, not in the US and my bosch dishwasher only has one dispenser I already moved from tablets to powder a while ago, now I'm going to experiment with a sprinkle of powder in the main compartment, to help with the pre wash.

This is why I love lemmy thanks everyone

DillyDaily@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Had a lamp in the garage I was planning to donate when I could. It had been sitting there for 4 years unused because it was incompatible with a lamp shade and too damn bright no matter what bulb I used.

Saw the technology conextras (his second channel) video on DIY milk glass, now that lamp is the only light I use in the office, I love it!

AstralPath@lemmy.ca · 22 pts · 2y

This was literally my internal monologue coming into this comment section. I love Technology Connections!

ook_the_librarian@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y (2 replies)

I upvote it twice. By magic!

Actually, it was just through the magic of making two accounts. A little trick I learned on youtube.

I’d let him press my popcorn button.

Mighty@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 2y (1 reply)

ha you did see the video? :D

BrandonMatrick@lemmy.world · 28 pts · 2y

I may have started looking for a 2004 Sharp Carousel Multi due to this video.

Seriously he's one of my favorite YouTubers

Aeonx21@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Got turned on to his channel about a month ago, been watching non stop

ieightpi@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2y

His vinyl record episode was great. As an audiophile I truly appreciated learning how it works.

DillyDaily@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y

I've got a playlist of all the videos I've already seen and I play it for background noise when I'm doing a task that I don't want silence for but also don't want music. Something about the pacing and cadence of his videos is strangely relaxing.

I'm far from the target audience, I never thought I'd be interested in learning the difference between DVD+R and DVD-R, but he had me and my history loving arse with gas lamps, and I got hooked.

ProvableGecko@lemmy.world · 29 pts · 2y

I heard that and I was like thank god for the day the algorithm suggested this channel to me. What a gem!

ilinamorato@lemmy.world · 27 pts · 2y (8 replies)

Hey @TechConnectify@mas.to , you're a meme now.

(Come on fediverse, do your stuff!)

ilinamorato@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 2y (7 replies)

Aw, it doesn't work.

brbposting@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 2y (6 replies)

Hmm, this works…

https://mas.to/@TechConnectify

But had to use DuckDuckGo from a browser - Memmy (iOS) was no help searching. More testing needed on my end.

ilinamorato@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y (2 replies)

It links, but does it notify?

brbposting@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)
uis@equestria.social · 1 pts · 2y (2 replies)

No-no-no-no. Watch this.

@TechConnectify

This definetly should work, unless he banned me.

brbposting@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

How’d you do that?

Doubt it was…:

@uis

So I’m guessing:

@uis

(Which was [@uis](https://equestria.social/@uis) - had to do this manually.)

Are you using Lemmy from a desktop? Neither Memmy nor Voyager supported this automatically on iOS.

Did you get this suggestion on YouTube 2 days ago?!?? It was so random and I like popcorn so I watched all the way through. Seeing this as a meme now is an odd coincidence.

Leviathan@lemmy.world · 37 pts · 2y

I mean, I subscribe to his channel so I didn't find it that weird. I do love popcorn too though.

waka@feddit.de · 11 pts · 2y (6 replies)

Well, he made that dishwasher video a few years ago, sooo...

humorlessrepost@lemmy.world · 26 pts · 2y (1 reply)

But to understand dishwashers, let’s first discuss heat pumps.

lazyslacker@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 2y (3 replies)

It was like six months ago. The first videos from him that I saw were the ones about Sony Trinitron TVs. That was a few years ago.

gamermanh@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 2y (2 replies)

The dishwasher video is from December of 2020

3 years ago aaaaaaaaaaaaa

lazyslacker@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 2y

Oh wow my bad. Seems more recent.

captainlezbian@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Yeah dishwasher video predates even the year of the heat pump

Mighty@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

i did watch some of his videos before this one, so the suggestion wasn't weird to me

jballs@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 2y

Exact same thing here!

HiddenLayer5@lemmy.ml · 24 pts · 2y (2 replies)

In the spirit of Alec's pedentry, I must mention that lube does not work by making things moist, instead it works by reducing friction and preventing direct contact between solids. Oil based lubes are a prime example of this as they contain very little water and therefore is ineffective at making things moist but is still effective at reducing friction. Water by itself is actually a pretty bad lube.

Also we're talking about machine lube right? ...right?

I love his stuff. Each video I've watched has always started with "why the crap would I even care about this subject, but what the hell [play]", and ended with me sitting at the edge of my seat, after laughter and intrigue. I love his stuff.

Still got his channel in my youtube backlog so to speak.

somenonewho@feddit.de · 16 pts · 2y

Oof I envy you. I've seen my first video 1-2 years ago (the rice cooker one) and ever since I've watched all of his Videos (some three times) I'd love to get to experience all of them anew.

regbin_@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y

Lucky you. I've run out of his videos to watch.
