Been playing some Cyberpunk 2077 and also finished the anime. I Really Want to Stay at Your House has been on repeat lately. Such a great synthpop tune.
I went thru many of his songs after discovering "The Search". "When I grow up" is great ... the subtle comedy in the kitchen scene is brilliant. He's quite the lyrical genius!
I have to question putting Orbit Culture on a melodeath compilation. While it worked out for you, unless the one who made the compilation is trying to give curveballs to the listener, it's a weird addition.
i've been getting back into Big Band Swing in general, but Andy Kirk and the Twelve Clouds was a special group, and one of their pianists Mary Lou Williams was a true pioneer of jazz solo improvisation.. still mind blowing to hear..

That, and Good Riddance / Time of your Life (Greenday). I understand it was supposed to be a sarcastic dig at a woman. But that's not how audiences largely heard it, and it became the legit, totally unironic anthem of a certain generation that I am abs not a part of.
Also... There's a completely random punk band no one but me has ever heard of (Ruth Ruth), and their album Laughing Gallery has been by my side at some of my lowest points over the years. Wish I could let 'em know the impact they had in making sure I pushed through some of the worst periods.
