In my own lifetime, the summer highs have increased 20⁰F (mid 70's -> mid 90's) in 20 years. When I point this out to people and extrapolate a linear trend, another 20⁰ in 20 years, I get told I'm an insane doomer conspiracy theorist. Especially when I point out that another 10 degrees for a few weeks is all it takes to flash fry crops.

Yet these same people have been bitching nonstop about how hot it is this year. Yet apparently, I'm the crazy one. 🤪

Funny thing is that in my mind, I'm still presenting these people with a weenie hut jr vision of the future. As we all know, this heating trend is actually exponential, not linear.

Of course she did! Her job was to disseminate US military and government secrets to all of our foreign adversaries and she did a flawless job. Now Putin has all the US intelligence he needs, Trump has permission to fire her for being a woman.

I'm in a different field, but my advice is the machine gun method. Go to indeed or wherever, and apply to anything that you're even half qualified for. I sent 10 resumes a day for 6 weeks to land my job.

It sucks, but that's what you gotta do these days. Also accept interviews for positions you have no interest in just to get the practice.

You can accelerate this process in your community by posting flyers with the locations of local data centers and the approximate value of the copper inside them!

It's an intentional mix of low education, racist history, rural isolation, a faith-based understanding of reality, and 50 years of relentless fascist propaganda. It creates a culturally reinforced tribalism in Republicans and makes them into a sort of cattle-class that can easily be led around by media misinformation. They're too isolated, too dumb, and too blindly loyal to The Party to ever wake up to the reality of their subjugation or the evil of their leaders.

That's why they'll never abandon Trump.

Unironically me IRL. I switched to Bazzite from Win10 this year and it's been real smooth. I can't belive how easy the transition was.

Most gas giants are primarily lighter elements like hydrogen and helium. Nitrogen is also a light element, so having a nitrogen based gas giant would make sense. Plus then it's an easy to justify an atmospheric band of higher oxygen content conveniently forming an earth-like Nitrogen/oxygen composition.

Ex-Machina (2014). A tech billionaire recruits a young programmer to come to his remote compound to test his new AI android called Ava. The test is whether Ava can convince the protagonist that she's a real person, despite visibly being a robot.

Ava then proceedes to fuck with everyone, manipulating people into carrying out her escape plan.

It's a psychological thriller and it's quite good imo. It definitely has a lot to say about the dangers of AI.

Imo, the MBAs design is the RAM 1500. Huge profit margin, massive marketing scheme, dogshit engineering, dies exactly when the warranty expires.

Cybertruck is what happens when a ketamine addicted nepo baby ceo high on their own ego designs a car.
