Temperature, days without rain, unemployment, measles cases, war casualties, tons of goods disposed as waste, child poverty, plastics production, mass incarceration, wealth stolen from the people, species extincted, bots posting propaganda.

It seems like the project of driving up the line is going great by most metrics. 👍

Yes, Doomsider, I'm serious. I happen to know plenty of guys who never made it to their sixties doing that kind of stuff. As in, I work with people whose health has failed to the degree that they cannot continue in their line of work.

And this is one of the most common things I'm seeing. Craftsmen who never invested in education or any kind of further qualification and are suddenly unable to work. Many are in their forties but I'm also getting lots of men in their mid-fifties.

You might get lucky and make it well past forty as a craftsman. But even just the pain and discomfort of the slipped discs, ruined knees, or carpal tunnel syndromes that these people get should give anyone reason to think twice about trying to make it all the way to retirement without shifting from pure physical labor to something else - be it as an instructor, salesperson, or manager. Anything that lessens the physical burden.

The 35 figure I gave was about having a plan by then. It might take a while to set in motion but I firmly believe it's best to start developing it sooner rather than later.

Trades are great for breaking into the job market but you MUST have an exit strategy by age 35. No body (sic) lays tiles until age 67.

Holy Moiré pattern Batman, do people really not know how to do screenshots any more? You've even got the nifty Snipping Tool to help you with that nowadays.

Ja, ihren Ehegatten, Albert "Al" Kaida. 😂

You don't know what you're talking about. That 14,300 casualties figure you're likely alluding to includes 6,500 Russian-sponsored separatist fighters, 4,400 Ukrainian (!) soldiers, and 3,404 civilian victims on both sides of the conflict. The three hundred people killed in the separatist shootdown of MH17 are included in the latter figure.

Both the OSCE and the International Criminal Court have investigated Russia's claims of Ukraine's alleged genocide in the Donbas and come to the conclusion that there is no such thing.

On the contrary, Vladimir Putin (like BenjamĂn Netanyahu) is being sought by the ICC as a war criminal.

If you were to stop regurgitating state propaganda and listen to actual genocide scholars, UN institutions, and the ICC you would have to admit that it looks very much like Russia has always been using these allegations of genocide against Russian people to prepare an illegal occupation of Ukraine and to mask its own genocidal activities.

That's all the enlightenment I can provide to you and your ilk; you are now going on my block list. Have a great life.

The armed insurrection was made up of people who, among other things, used a 9K37 "Buk" surface-to-air missile launcher (conveniently on loan from Russia) to kill hundreds of people traveling overhead in a Malaysian Airlines passenger jet.
Not sure where you're going with that Machete accusation.

Is Ukraine being sanctioned by anyone? Did they start a war of aggression? Are they bombing shopping malls, abducting children, and denying Russia's right to even exist?

Has Ukraine been terrorizing and occupying its neighbors for decades, driving them into the arms of NATO?

Fuck off with your both-sidesing.
