Dies geschieht derzeit sehr offensichtlich.

Ich glaube, du verdrehst hier was.

Yeah, I agree: Brain-dead morons who let themselves be easily swayed against their very own interests are everywhere—and unfortunately, they’re also so arrogant in their stupid idiocy everywhere that they flaunt their ignorance with extreme self-confidence.

The internet is really a curse in these matters: People now have the sum of human knowledge right in their pockets, but so many of them are still guided by the most idiotic misinformation—apparently because it boosts their fragile self-confidence to seem to understand a completely false, yet simple, explanation.

This seems to me to be the core tactic of climate change deniers: If you simply claim, without any evidence, that climate change doesn’t exist, the stubborn can maintain their irresponsible lifestyles and even feel superior to scientists, since they don’t even have to try to understand their arguments—they just say: nope, I don't want to hear any of it because I'm just right. It’s the same behavior that defiant children exhibit.

Every Bond villain worthy of the title should have a diabolical plot worthy of respect.

In Die Another Day, Gustav Graves ingratiates himself with the West, constructing a satellite named Icarus without the authorities realising that he is actually developing a space-based superweapon. Ostensibly, Graves has developed the satellite as a means of ensuring that crops can be grown year-round, bringing an end to starvation, but the truth is far more sinister: the purpose of the satellite is to provide North Korea with the clout to become a superpower, if not to actually dominate the world.

In other words: Now that he’s no longer getting any money from Google, he’s suddenly upset that no one is visiting his site anymore, because most of his former visitors now find the answers to their questions directly on Google—the very company to which he sold all of his website’s content.

Well, he could have figured that out sooner. What a moron—but hey, he’s already pocketed the money for all the content he stole from his own users.

It’s a good thing Aaron Swartz doesn’t have to witness all this, especially since the greediest of all corporations are now raking in money with complete impunity for the very thing he was supposed to go to prison for years—even though he had no intention of enriching himself at all.

But the U.S. will immediately declare war on football, invade Switzerland, and rename the sport "soccer" once and for all....

The cheese will end up tasting bland and insipid, too....

/s, of course—fuck that orange pedo and his despicable minions anyway.

Yeah, and you can finally play some Super Nintendo as if you were sitting in a cheap furniture store.

I can’t understand how U.S. citizens can allow this to happen: all this injustice, this inhumanity, this primitive brutality, the war crimes, and corruption...

Where is that much-vaunted national pride?

The only thing the world regularly gets to see are the misdeeds of this masked gang of criminals and other masked Nazis marching through the streets on national holidays. Is this the U.S.? The land of the free?

When I was still an employee, I did that for a while. The "reward" was always that I had to work unpaid overtime, and once the project was finished, someone else—who had absolutely nothing to do with it—took all the credit.

So I went into self-employment.

No, I don't think so at all, but depending on whether the Democrats field a reasonably progressive candidate, there’s at least a slim chance. If not, and it comes down to the usual corporate Democrats—who, contrary to the will of the voters, clearly call the shots at the DNC—there’s no chance from the get-go.

For the Conservatives, however, this chance does not even exist in the first place.

So the Democrats are still the lesser evil, because the conservatives are not only many times more corrupt, they’re also completely unscrupulous in their inhumane actions.

With a Democratic president, at least, it would still be possible to engage in dialogue on the international stage. A conservative, on the other hand, represents exclusively the interests of organized crime, as the current regime demonstrates day in and day out: It commits horrific war crimes, does nothing but enrich itself and its billionaire financiers, openly threatens even the U.S.’s former allies with armed force, and is doing everything in its power to replace international law with the law of the jungle.

These people are the scum of humanity. The conformist, greedy opportunists among the Democrats are certainly despicable as well, but even they are no match for the absolute monsters currently ruling the country.

Look up the term "Dark Enlightenment" —this far-right, inhuman "theory" is the foundation of what conservatives stand for and what they are working exclusively to bring about, since it benefits the billionaires and would give them absolute power without any restrictions. Should they continue to succeed in this, it would have enormous, negative consequences for other, still somewhat functioning democracies around the world.

In short: A democratic president would definitely be the lesser evil—for the world as well as for the U.S. Anything that weakens the current regime is absolutely desirable.

That’s certainly concerning, but such forecasts are problematic in and of themselves, since they assume a status quo that could very well change.

For example, it’s by no means out of the question that tokens could become more expensive rather than cheaper in the future, since the AI giants are currently incurring massive losses across the board and will likely have to raise their prices at some point to become at least somewhat profitable. Either that, or they’ll have to find additional monetization opportunities, such as advertising. Both of these developments would affect the cost of using AI services, which could mean that human labor becomes actually cheaper than AI— there are already examples of this today.

Another point is that a kind of “AI fatigue” could set in—that is, products manufactured using AI for cost reasons could increasingly fall out of favor with consumers due to their poor quality, so that they would rather pay a little more for a higher-quality product made without AI that uses this fact as a selling point.

I consider it fairly certain that AI will have a significant impact on the labor market, but I believe it is uncertain whether its influence will be as severe as is sometimes portrayed at present—especially since there are now various studies concluding that massive investments in AI have not yielded the intended results and that AI is more expensive than human labor.

Therefore, I think there’s still a great deal of hype here, which is being deliberately pushed by AI providers because they rely on it to justify further investments. I consider it out of the question that what the manufacturers promise—a kind of fully automated world in which AI could take over nearly every job—will ever come to pass, because LLMs are simply not capable of this; after all, they are not artificial intelligence, but merely language models.
