It’s pretty crazy, my mediocre state university had an all in (tuition, housing, food, books, etc) cost of $17k/year when I went 20 years ago and it’s up to $42k/year now. And that’s the in state price, out of state would be $60k/year, though I can’t imagine who would pay that.
Between financial aid and internships I came out of college with less than $20k in student loan debt. It’d be far worse these days.
Exactly this, I’d prefer getting some opinionated toppings on the occasions I get pizza. But unless I’m somewhere selling by the slice that just guarantees my kids won’t touch it.
I couldn’t tell you anything about the campaign but I wasted countless hours doing multi player matches with my brother, mostly the beach invasion map. I remember it being fun times but I’m sure it wouldn’t hold up if I fired it up now.

Mostly because of cost and aesthetics. It’s actually still a great dental repair material in terms of durability. I have a gold capped molar that I elected and pushed my dentist for after doing research, had a good conversation about trade-offs in materials vs going blindly with a default. My mother in law also has most of her fillings done with gold. But obviously it’s expensive and you need a dentist that is used to working with gold which is less common. Most people do not want front facing teeth in gold.

Dude is in his 50s now, so maybe he’s working with his family on a cool project and living his best life, I like that interpretation.
I’d never accuse them of being altruistic, I more thought it was a case of incentives aligning where it saves them money on electricity and incidentally is a net environmental positive. We’ll insomuch as it can be a positive given that there’s an Amazon specific delivery fleet that trawls my neighborhood daily for next or same day deliveries to satisfy instant gratification.

I only understand this reference because I worked for a company at one point that had a large number of NeXT and Solaris hosts that only had vi installed with letter key navigation, so my muscle memory does not use arrow keys.
