I just consumed blood from 3 different people yesterday, does this make me a vampire mommy? I also love drawing peoples' blood (I'm a phlebotomist) hehe~

As someone who works I'm healthcare, I wish this were true for me. That and actually being able to take my breaks and not work during my unpaid lunch.

Just wanted to say I am now experiencing this issue, or some other issue that manifests the same way. Apparently @AnxiousMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone is also experiencing this based on the comment here. It isn't horribly disruptive, so I don't mean to pressure anyone for a fix, I just wanted to let you know that this still appears to be an issue. I only noticed it starting today, however, which is strange given how old this post is.

Note: It doesn't appear to happen on the website (at least not with the Photon frontend; haven't tested others), but it is happening to me consistently in the Thunder app.

It seems like the issue that we're sharing with comment threads not loading the first time is likely a known issue that hasn't been fixed yet? I'm going to ping Ada abt this in the issue thread to see if she's aware there's still a problem.

I'm having that problem rn too. I sometimes have to refresh posts bc they won't load. Seems unrelated to ur account.

The instance is probably having issues rn.

Keep in mind that this only counts the first occurrence. Women in abusive relationships will only count as 1 instance despite experiencing violence and/or sexual assault regularly over a long period of time. This is also likely an underestimate, as not everyone wants to admit that they were the victim of violence, and some of us get gaslit by others so hard that we no longer even believe we're a victim at all—that it was somehow our fault.

Honestly, it depends on the day, my outfit, and where I'm going. Most of the time I keep a small-medium size crossbody purse on me, but if I wanna dress up, I'll get a small, cute little purse. I need to get a large purse at some point bc I find it a bit too often that I need the extra room, especially if I'm going out for a long time and need to bring water.

Depends on the surgeon and your own preferences. I'll likely be getting an orchio beforehand because surgery waiting lists for vaginoplasty are 3+ years for my preference of surgeon

I use an Ion Magnesium Flat Iron 1", and it's great for me! The temperature control is really nice, and it holds heat well because it's a ceramic tourmaline iron with magnesium for even heat distribution. I have very fine hair, and it does its job well! I use it for putting waves in my hair, not straightening, but I'm sure it would be great for straightening! The buttons are inside the iron, so you won't accidentally turn it on/off or change the temperature, but easily accessible when you need to. It also feels great in my hand. I don't really have any gripes with it, tbh. It's treated me well for the (relatively few) times I've used it

I'll be staying on HRT my whole life. Menopause and perimenopause are treatable conditions, and it's unfortunate how few women are able to get HRT for it. I see no reason to subject myself to the horrible effects of it. Every woman I've met on HRT for menopause has said it was one of the best decisions of their life.

Okay so, perhaps a controversial opinion, but I don't actually like pockets on a lot of my clothes. Lounge clothes? Absolutely. Scrubs? Can't live without them. Clothes I wanna actually wear out? I'd rather use my purse. I don't personally like the look that pockets provide on some clothes, and I certainly don't like the way pockets look when there's something in them. I have dresses with pockets, and I could never use the pockets because I feel that they'd look awful.

But, I think there should be more options out there for other women do do want pockets. It's especially heinous on jeans, because those should have good pockets.
