I am going insane.

I think the absolute worst part is that I am the one being treated like I'm stupid for being college educated or for just having common sense.

Its like trying to talk and every time you do 20 toddlers scream and shit thier pants at the same time.

There's a minority in the US that is both loud and smells. Unfortunately, they drown the rest of us out, and make a bad taste in everyone else's mouth that I can't blame them for.

The Anti-intellectualism has been a thing for years though, it's suddenly exploded because it hit critical mass and they finally got one of thier guys elected while the rest of us were looking the other way (or in my case, too young to vote.)

Now? Being stupid is being smart. Being contrarian is being patriotic, money is God. Up is down, the sky is green.

I heard a teacher say Moscow was in Ukraine yesterday. No amount of pointing to it on a fucking map could convince her otherwise.

I am. Going. Insane.

That's why the Indie side is a full ecosystem.

Shitty games die and fertilize the ground so that all the good ones can grow.

If a AAA game dies, it takes another 6 years for investors and executives to gain the balls to maybe risk spending the money to make another game, so it fertilizes nothing, just sits and rots on sand.

I went to the dentist for the first time yesterday.

My teeth were getting overly sensitive, I'd never been good a remembering to brush until this year, so the buildup got bad.

I have early gingivitis and a couple of small cavities, which is better then what I was expecting. And they cleaned my teeth.

The sensitivity is gone and I am EUPHORIC, I never realized how constantly uncomfortable I was because of it, I'd been getting more and more irritable and surprise. It was because constant mouth sensations contributed to a lot of moments where I was overstimulated and lashed out.

If everything is resting on my shoulders then I will deliberately drop it to spite as many people as possible.

Fuck you for putting pressure on me.

Huh.

You know, I was aware about how fucking stupid and awful things are but it never once occurred to me that yes Trump and his yes men are in office and they do have access to nukes.

Like yeah. I knew that, that's obvious. But it never once occurred to me that thier use would ever be in play. I never thought anyone, no matter how stupid and depraved would use them.

I'm not surprised. But at the same time. I am.

It's a spectrum from "Weird and Awkward all the time but outwardly living a pretty normal life to SCREAMING AT EVERYTHING AND BRING UNABLE TO COMPREHEND ANYTHING AROUND YOU.

When people think of autism now they don't think of the "non-functioning" side, they think of the high functioning side. Yes, high-functioning Autism sucks still, but it could be much, much worse.

ADHD rarely makes anyone "non-functional" it does make people barely-functional. Thus, no one cares. As you're doing "okay" usually.

The easiest way to solve this existential question is to ask another.

"If true, what about my life actually changes?"

The answer is of course. Nothing. Your form of existence hardly matters, whether made from atoms and DNA or Hard Data, you are real and your thoughts and feelings matter. All that changes is that you are distantly aware that the universe is powered artificially.
