As someone with 0 tattoos but who wants tattoos, I think the bar for those kinds of tats is if the moments you're signifying through the tattoo have truly defined or been a significant part of your life. I think even though we all change, it's fine to acknowledge what's happened in our past in an artistic manner on our bodies. For instance, I learned English playing Zelda & other video games, I've played them for decades, so I would consider a tattoo of Nintendo IP, even though I want nothing more than for the entire company to spontaneously combust. My love for the Zelda IP is bigger than my hate for Nintendo, and I have no qualms holding both feelings at once. Such hatred, at least for me, stems from them butchering our childhood memories, after all.

The style of the tattoo might be harder to nail for me, because sure I might want a Legend of Zelda tattoo or something, but I could make something classy and timeless or I could make the worst recreation of AI marketing hallucination content imaginable and regret the ink as it gets injected into me. If I have no taste, I could very quickly regret my tattoo.... And that's why I still have no tats. I've seen how I make bases & houses in video games, I don't trust my artistic choices.

Listen, the time for doing something about the problem about two shitty options is NOT at the literal last second, when you have no other options BUT those two shitty ones. At that point, and ONLY at that point, it becomes about choosing the lesser of two evils. If you don't, you get the worse of two evils, it's as simple as that. You want things to change, or maybe more than just two evils? Make the effort to change shit BEFORE things get locked to two shitty choices. Every year more people are riled up about this, so how about organizing to do shit BEFORE the only play left is to fumble and give the ball to the fascists? Because this moral grandstanding literally fucks everyone, and I'm speaking as a non-American, being fucked by stupid American choices such as not voting for Kamala because she was "pro-genocide" (while Trump is watering at the mouth thinking about building hotels atop the ashes of Palestinian lands).

Just looked up the origonal dress pic on my pixel 8 pro. Its still white and gold to me. I've only ever seen it as black and blue (without aid) a handful of times since the day it went viral. In sure screens could influence this, but this damn thing stands as a powerful illusion on its own.

Trump won the popular vote because y'all mfs fell for the propaganda and forgot the trainwreck that he was just 4 years prior. Half of Lemmy was telling people not to vote for Kamala because of this shit, in what was the most obviously stupid decision I've seen so-called left-wingers make.

Brother I'm not even from the US and I was facepalming so fucking hard at this stupid ass reasoning. We're all paying for the stupid ass decisions US citizens make, constantly.

I know this is not exactly the same because I'm talking about a different country, but its still a Warren Buffet business: Honduran textile factories, "maquilas" as we call them, very generally close down entirely and move elsewhere if a union even starts bubbling up. They'll fire entire floors or departments if they suspect someone is trying to start a union, and they specifically keep profiles on people who have been known to get involved in unions and either don't give them jobs or fire then as soon as they realize the history that person has.

I understand it was worse before (well, I don't follow local news that much but I'm pretty sure there was a textile unionists massacre a few years ago, unknown causes, so maybe it's still that bad), but that's enough currently to have absolutely everyone hating unionists in these environments. Pro-union stances can get you in real trouble because of how much that endangers everyone around you and their livelihoods. I.... Don't know how you deal with that, I don't think anyone around here knows either or something would've been done about it by now.

If your defense mechanism is to essentially say "at least I'm not as bad as the real deal".... Brother, there's a problem.

Douching master race. Moved and my bidet no longer has the necessary pressure for douching and I'm back to being the guy from OP's meme. Don't know about inserting anything anywhere tho, the right amount of water pressure, maybe with the right angles, and you're good to go.

Even then, I see no way for water to go back up the bidet line and contaminate stuff elsewhere. Its like expecting faucets to contaminate things upstream when you wash your hands, it kinda makes no sense, at least to me.

As someone who pays $20/month for cursor for work and never go past my quotas to finish all my month's tasks, AND who has transitioned to almost not coding manually at all and mostly just reviewing generated code, what the FUCK are y'all doing that would ever eat anywhere even close to half your damn salary???? How can you trust any of the output at that kind of volume???

Man, it's gotten REALLY hard to gauge yourself as a developer nowadays. I have no idea if I'm falling behind or not, and I'm pretty sure more than half of y'all would already condemn me for going too far for using AI, while at least a few would laugh at how behind I am.

Regardless, fuck you Jensen. Fuck you and your crocodile leather jacket.

Yeah, to be completely honest, the one place where you actually could trust this kind of information is on your own local (and ideally libre-oriented) OS, never leaving your device and instead obfuscated through an API that's exposed to whatever services need to do an age check, with the potential for additional security impositions or other concessions from data requesters due to the leverage of still having your data controlled by you. This is the bonus FOSS part where we get a say on how we want our data to be exposed on our libre systems. Other users aren't so lucky and don't get to have any voice on how this implementation happens, so we should probably participate in the discourse for those PRs rather than condemn them point blank.

Boring is good indeed. I'm running Bazzite on both my gaming desktop as well as my work laptop (webdev). The only reason I think about Bazzite at all is because I see it mentioned everywhere and feel the need to share my experience. Otherwise, it really is out of sight, out of mind.

I also went with 16 drives, but they were 20TB each. OP, if you don't already have those 4tb drives, reconsider the amount and sizes. 4tb can't be the price sweet spot for HDDs...
