It's a stamce on here some people have to dub "American" as belonging to all of North and South America. It's basically just being anti-US as much of Lemmy is.
Why are you screaming FOOTBALL at me and then whispering soccer afterwards, as if I said soccer and you're criticising me for doing so. Did you mean to reply to someone else?
Most people in the US didn't realize there was even a US team in the World Cup at all. Any who thought they had a "real shot" are definitely in the minority, and they exist in every country.
They're also trying to make Steam OS available to install on any PC, so any argument of "AlL tHeY tHiNk AbOuT iS pRoFiTs" goes out the door there. I think the only struggle right now is getting it to work with NVidia graphics cards or something.
Excuse me - Me liking Metroid games doesn't mean I'm actually a woman lol, women can be badass too and I can enjoy playing as them. Siren is my fav class in Borderlands 2, not because "I should take estrogen", but because I enjoy the gameplay the class provides. Doesn't matter what their gender is - badass is badass.
"This is a non-binding pledge of intent only. No funds are collected at this stage. This is not a securities offering, investment contract, or financial instrument. Any references to profit-sharing, dividends, or ownership are proposed concepts only — not confirmed arrangements. The final cooperative structure must be reviewed and approved by qualified securities and aviation counsel before any binding commitments are made. Participation does not guarantee ownership, financial return, or membership in any final entity."
Still though, I worry that a lot of people are going to be tricked into thinking it'll be one thing, give money (once they're actually taking money), and be deceived. Keeping my eye out, just in case, and hopefully others are keeping an eye on it, too.
If they do solidify it being owned by the people like how they're advertising, that's awesome and I'm in.

This is a good point:
