They have tried raising them before remember? Frieren gave the example of the child demon that still killed it's adoptive parents and more even though it had been forgiven and such. That same story implied that humans have tried giving demons chances in the past, and that every single chance didn't work out. Not to mention there hasn't been a single demon that's talked about a "vegan/vegetarian" demon. With how long lived they are, that would have gotten around by now, especially for someone as long lived as an elf. At some point she would have heard of it too.
And every demon executed so far has been hostile, either attacking or already mid-hunt.
Counter point - now open source stuff can advertise as not needing age verification, which would probably be a plus for people looking to buy say a smart bulb.
You can automate a task to analyze the network traffic (though don't underestimate human checks - remember the guy that noticed something was off by like 0.1% and discovered the logistics attack on Linux?).
Also, you can probably trust hardware made yourself that's more than that, like FPGA.
Can't you just check network connections for suspicious activity? At some point the thing affected by the KTH would send an outbound signal either of data collected, or inbound signals if it's updating the backdoor.
Ukrainians probably don't care because Russia hasinvaded them.
The point is both countries pull that shit. Just because Russia didn't target yours this time doesn't change that they pull the same shit.
Ironically, that kind of selfish narrow thinking makes you sound really American. You'd fit right in with Republican "fuck you, got mine" culture, only having empathy when it affects you rather than when it affects anyone.
The difference between being unwillingly ignorant and being ignorantly stupid is not knowing something, and thinking that someone that does know something is pompous.
Now, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because you're a .de Lemmy, but in American Best Buy, the people op is talking about are supposed to be salespeople who's job is literally to know basics about what they're selling. There's even people dedicated to each department for that reason. Kind of like Power, if you have that there (we have it in Finland but I know it's Swedish).
Or to put it in a term you might know, imagine going to a car dealership, and the salesperson doesn't know if the gasoline car they're saying you should buy is a V4 or V6, and can't tell you how many MPG it gets. They just know it's a car made by (brand).
Finland?

That's still humanizing the demons too much.
There's at least human vegans / vegetarians.
There's no equivalent to that for the demons. That's the point 😅
And that's despite chickens etc not being capable of human speech or looking human. The number would be much higher if they did.
Humans have empathy, yet how many will still eat pigs or beef?
Now add on a complete lack of empathy to the mix and you basically have the demon race.
Reminds me of N64 Mario Kart. Seems fun
Edit: for the younger ones, N64 Mario Kart was just 4 players, it's just back then the displays weren't widescreen, they were 4:3
So 4 player mode looked like this 8 player mode if you chop the screen display in half sort of
... Except he lowered it for Charlie Kirk.
Life's fantastic! I'm a derpy bird, in a derpy woooorld~
Wait until you find out they made them twerk in the reboot 💀

I wonder if at least once he approached Lévy saying "Behold! A Pie!"
*Abriged
Huh, didn't expect Nintendo to be the one to get the post apocalyptic world right. All hail our future Squid overlords I guess

I thought they would call it El Hombre
Clearly you lack that too, considering the Rus State has existed over 4x longer than the USA.
And modern Russia didn't become that big through peace. Much like the USA didn't become bigger than 13 colonies through peace.
Like I said, you'd fit right in with American Republicans. Lack of historical knowledge is right on theme for them too.
Cool story.

Oh, guess you're just a tankie. Bless you.
Yeah, just like Russia.
Too bad both countries are huge.
