I stumped upon a site called Questlog. I'm using it to keep track of the games I've been playing, but it also has recomendations. Looks like it's just basic algorithms based on what you've played. Maybe worth a try?
I'm playing Enderal. Having played it a little bit since it was first released in Oldrim, but my pc at the time couldn't handle it. It was actually Neverwinter Nights brought me back to it recently. Was thinking about Baldeceran' Prophet series, it was such a masterpiece. Then I remembered Enderal had a similar theme, and I haven't seriously give it a try yet. So I installed the GoG version. So far I'm very impressed. Everything feels on spot. It do brought back that nostalgic feeling…
I do. I listen to our local Classical station almost every day. Its quality has been constantly good for so many decades. I also listen to some other music stations on the Internet from time to time, but I try to avoid those that have hourly news…
The motherboard was from over ten years ago, that means that I probably won't find one that matches the old APU and RAM that's on it. I already can't find a matching CPU fan for the APU, also no motherboard with DDR3 around. Part of the HHD is malfunction, but it's workable. I was considering replacing them altogether someday, but maybe not so much now. The best scenario is I find out what's wrong with the motherboard and fix it, then just keep using it.
Both anxiety and loneliness are basically every holiday that involves big family gathering. It was so stressful I had some breakdowns even. Usually I use every excuse I can to avoid that. All I want is some quite time at home, with the few people that I truly love.
I used to have a pine sapling that I grow in a pot, and always used it as a Christmas tree in winter. But one year it died. I tried to grow another after that, but failed twice. Now my confidence of keeping a sapling alive is all gone. Maybe I should make a cardboard one this year. Or maybe just use a different plant that's not a pine, fir or yew.
I'm grateful for GoG's manual testing process. But the forums often full of users blaming GoG for treating them as second class citizens for always late at push out updates, without seeing their efforts. Sometimes it's indeed several months later than Steam, like Manor Lords. Sometimes developers do seems to abandon their GoG version altogether, like Hellish Quart. It sometimes feels like a vicious cycle to push users away.
I prefer GoG's UI too, It's simpler and easier to navigate. Steam's main page has become more confusing over the years. It's another reason for me to prefer buying from GoG. The same goes for Steam's client, it's so full of stuff. Sometimes it feels like you have to open a monster to just play a casual game, it somewhat put off your desire to play that mini casual game.
From both, but I prefer GoG. I bought everything I want to keep there. So I can store the installers, and won't have to redownload each time I install on a new system. But Steam has a smoother Linux experience.
That's interesting, because I do that too. Native language for family use, "common tongue" for outsiders and strangers, English when angry or want to be serious. They do feel like three stages of distance. Also, each language has slightly different preferences with slightly different ways of thinking, which leads to you often think different things in different languages. But more often than not, they just end up in a big muddle.
