Wish it were legal here. I have a few discord buddies but I'm the "weird one" in the group I suspect. I do play some games- I play the daily run of Binding of Isaac every day.
Yeah, given the chance like I said I'd go with it. I'm comfy with what I have and admit it's not superior, but it's functional and I was fortunate enough to buy the lifetime license years before they turned the situation into a laughing stock. Maybe one day I'll make the change.
Boy oh boy, was it ever a bad implementation. Whoooo nelly was (is) that.
I use PPAs in Linux and I stay clear of the AUR. Entire open source projects have added such things to Windows but Microslop still rejects doing it properly themselves. Torches and pitchforks for Redmond one day!
Is there a reason owning one's own music is so unthinkable these days? I BUY my music, I own my music. I stream it anywhere I like from my own Plex server. If I had it to do over again I'd use Jellyfin instead. A tiny mini PC with some storage, some easy setup, and you never pay monthly for access to music again?
Well I'll be. Didn't know the Yoga line had abnormal hardware for things like trackpads/etc, as Thinkpads in general are considered to be so good for Linux. If you should tinker in the future maybe try something with a much more modern kernel 7+ like CachyOS. Either way nice chatting have a good one.

Paid-for malware install malware
In other breaking news, air is breathable. (usually)
In my case that's not at all, but I learned something today, thanks
Arch or Debian?
answers question with question
Speed or reliability?
Wait Winget is a user repository- as-in it's completely unpoliced? Hahah I stand corrected

Genuine question, not trolling you.

My main source for buying music is BandCamp.
Only a sith deals in absolutes!
Fixed that for them

I feel like I have some clue what the nazi playbook is and does. There are many parallels between Germany in 1938 and things happening here in 2026.
Not to sell your experience short, that sucks, but that's on Nvidia for being the worst company in the world for driver support.
Genuinely think this post should be pinned for prosperity and a warning to others. Lemmy does not appreciate censorship.
Good game. High five my fellow old fart (and non Playstation supporter)
And is the laptop quite new I wonder?
OOH a contextual opportunity to use a Birdemic GIF? I AM PREPARED

Out of curiosity, what Linux did you try on it? Relatively new and you tried Mint maybe?
I know MY duress PIN, and I'll fucking use it if I feel I need to. These nazis can't fucking intimidate me.
