Yeah but it is not 15 full seconds on and 15 full seconds off, it alternates much faster so the heat has the time to dissipate a bit.

Spoiler: that is also how LEDs dim and it works perfectly.

The pc (server) was used, and the seller asked 100$ to double it from 128 GB to 256 GB.

More space for CFD and path tracing, and for personnal projects. Also it's fun to install games to a ramdisk for a laugh.

256 GB DDR4 here, kinda considering selling some of it now...

Type is more important? So if the first argument of a function is minAge, which is an int, the important part is that it is an int? Just feed it any int?

No, the important part is the meaning, what the variable actually is, if you use a compiled language the compiler will handle types for you anyway. You'll get a error if you feed it a string, or an water heater object, no surprises.

Leave the machine work to the machine (compiler in this case), and concentrate on the real work, which is the meaning here.

Turning on and off increases wear in cars not designed for it. The cars that have the feature have beefy starters, it is a non-issue. And it does save a bit of gas and emissions at red lights, and stopped in traffic, and especially for assholes that leave the car on while their partner goes for a "quick" grocery run.

No lol.

I know 21 °C is confortable for a room, no idea if it is even survivable in a pool.

I know I bake cookies at 350 °F, don't even know if it boils water.

As with most things, blame the Conservative government who stopped metrification a while ago.

It means that the display I stream doesn't show on a physical stream. When the stream start, it can automatically be set to the resolution and framerate of the client.

This is especially useful when the client has a resolution and/or refresh rate not supported by a connected physical screen. For example, I always used to have vertical black bars on my phone because it is so wide, and horizontal ones on my Surface because it is so square, but not anymore.

It also means I coult setup multi-seat stuff and keep using my pc while someone else is streaming.

Should move to a country where the price per gram/mL/unit is displayed on the price tag. Makes this trivial.
