Depends on how you frame it. For example: Handing out free food to school kids on its own doesn't 'fight back' but the Black Panthers used the activity to garner wider community support and good will for their other efforts. Building trust and garnering public sympathies is necessary for effective community organizing.

We've had mourning doves nest in gutters and reusing old robin nests in thin trees. They never rebuilt in the gutter after removing the nest (it was empty) but they still used the feeder and bird bath every year until they started using an old robin nest. They like more open nesting areas so a deeper nesting box might be why you aren't seeing them return.

One grandma thought cooking from scratch was old fashioned, so everything came from a box or can, and the other grandma cooked 99% from a 1950 betty crocker cookbook and a USDA home canning/pressure cooker bulletin. The chain of heirloom recipes being passed down was broken a generation or two earlier.

While doing genealogy research I found it quite common in rural norway in the 18th and 19th century for women to have a child every two years until their early to mid fifties. Sometimes they'd have as many as 18 children.

Adjacent/Analogous colors tend to look nice so it's fairly common in art and entertainment. Its been used to evoke the glow of neon lights at night, like in Blade Runner 1982, and It has been used to create an uncomfortable atmosphere, like in Suspiria 1977. The 'bisexual lighting' meme is from a tumblr sherlock fan theory that the Director of Photography was hinting that Watson was bisexual.

Something similar happened to me while playing catan at a friends place and it was pretty weird. One of the sublets we didn't know very well had a new lady friend over ever month. The lady of the month walked into the kitchen in just panties and asked what we were playing. She obviously didn't get the response she was hoping for and left with a disapointed look on her face. We all wondered if she was hoping to fluster a bunch of "virgin nerds" like some corney early 2000s movie in order to stroke her ego.

It looks like they use an adhesive backed fabric like a skull cap that the hat is then affixed to. I imagine this is less likely to irritate or injure the bird than a chin (bill?) strap.
