The British didnāt discover the islands - the French (and then the Spanish) did. But they won them after that, so your points are still good - just wanted to point this part out
Unfortunately I donāt think this is true. Every 3D face is the intersection of a 2D plane with the upper and lower bounds of the 3rd dimension. So I think a hypercube āfaceā would be every 3D āplaneā at both the very start time AND the very end time. Meaning the ant would need to immediately accelerate to light speed - so no time would pass - and then (otherwise) normally traverse the faces, wait until the end time, and then repeat the process in reverse (still at light speed).
She did explicitly state that it canāt be blocked or defended against, but it comes out later that this only means through magical defense of a direct hit. It can be physically deflected - so indirectly defended against. Dumbledore uses magic to move a statue into the way and protect himself and Harry. This was in the fifth book though, so itās definitely possible she retconned it after criticism
Youāre definitely right about it being a poorly-contrived scoring system, but there are a few games in the books where the team lost the game but grabbed the snitch. Itās always described as a āstem the bleedingā type decision
Edit: sorry, now seeing the replies to your other comments saying this, I guess you know by now š
I feel like the people making these posts at the beginning of DST are as confused as the pets. The clocks are moving forward, so the pets will get their food an hour earlier, by their reckoning. Doubt many pets are upset by getting food sooner

How do none of the replies notice your obvious joke?

I think itās a joke but this would be a real game changer if so

I feel like this would be funnier without the bottom text?
