I did Berserker/Nightblade cold bleed and got to level 40, beat big bad Log, was a total blast.

Now any other class I play I miss having Leap as a skill - it's such a good movement skill.

So you don't use AI much, but you know exactly how everyone else is using AI?

Also is your entire argument about "AI"? Or LLM-based AI in particular?

Cult-like behavior could grow in any community, but shunning the tech itself for no other reason seems backwards?

And what alternatives do you have in mind, if not LLM AI, what would be your ideal next step towards artificial intelligence?

P.S. I hate billionaires and the AI bubble just as much the next person, but these black/white "AI bad" arguments are getting tiring.

I think cucumbers were just fine. I like cucumbers.

Recursion without latency sounds like entire collapse of time as a dimension? It'd just be an infinite blob of matter right?

A Druid PC of mine wanted to determine if his bear form can cross a large gap so I had him roll WIS - he rolled a 5 - I said "you're confident you can jump that gap"

He jumped. He fell.

Yeah that was literally my blocker the entire time. I'd start a project bc the idea feels good, but quickly get bogged down by implementation details and lose interest bc it'd be such a monumental lift to bring the project to completion. Been in the field and dealt with ADHD long enough to understand side projects that take months of consistent work don't ever come to fruition.

Now my flow is to come up with concrete ideas -> flesh it out with AI -> button down details -> execute

I'm loving the idea -> execution speed particularly. And my side projects are getting the love they deserved.

I don't understand the sentiment here. Is it wrong to use a code automation tool to build out side projects that I've been sitting on for years? All the unfinished plans and half baked projects that provide no value?

Whereas now I can flesh out my ideas and build what I truly envision at a rapid pace without making it another full time job?

Thankfully as a software engineer, Claude Code is helping me catch up on a lot of my unfinished projects, especially ones with tedious amounts of integration.

yeah but is it really worth it to learn how to draw and color etc only for the purposes of a D&D portrait? maybe for some, and obv my players get the choice to do whatever, but with day jobs and lives, getting together to play itself is a commitment so I don't see the issue in creating a one-time portrait just for the purposes of quick execution

I'm also a musician and artist and I rant about AI art and its effects all the time so yeah I get it
