Is that how it went? Now I'm getting reasons to watch the princess bride again.

Not that I'm complaining.

Also, (correct me if I'm wrong it's been a while) as far as revenge arcs go he was rather chill about it. He didn't spend every waking moment building a giant board and investigating every angle. He picked a job that introduced him to a lot of people high and low and just looked for people with six fingers.

Like... I've seen less healthy coping mechanisms all things considered...

yes, but it is can be a larger than usual problem in some groups.

I know anime conventions in Minnesota struggled with that a lot in the 2000s. It took about half a decade of posters, campaigns, and a small group of people who were willing to be blunt and tell people "this sign is directed at you my dude"

It all did lead to improvements though! It is vastly better than it was back then.

Alternatively there was the MTG asscrack meme which did increase belt sales.

I feel like with my features acting manly is just performative and pointless because the way I’m perceived is already decided.

Like... yes and no. I also have a high pitched voice and a boyish face. (To the point where I'm looking forward to going grey) a lot of being mature is learning the cards you're dealt with and playing them effectively. A high pitched voice can cut through with a pointed question. "Hey what's your plan if the fire travels up the lighter fluid when you pour it on the open flame?"

You may not be able to tower over someone and glower, but a polite grin and fearless stare can give someone pause even if they're taller.

"Manly" can really steer people down the wrong path sometimes. You can be manly in a pink polo. You can be manly with a polite nod. There are a LOT of very different men out there, and being kind, courageous, and interesting mean far more to most people than "manly".

I have been voting in Minnesota since 2009, I have never been called for jury duty.

Meanwhile I have a coworker who has been called 5 times in the same time span.

I do not understand how this is possible.

This is why I propose we just make guy gender neutral. I feel like it's already half way there.

I feel like the proper response by the genie should be "yes, you're right, what's your first wish?"

I think so.

How high the priority should be is a debate worth having, but space has many ways to wipe out a planet. Having two planets, having a permanent space station, could go a long way to increasing survivability.

Not only that, building in a vacuum, building in zero G, even building things under great pressure, all can allow us to build new materials with brand new properties.

Also, being able to sustain a small group of people somewhere completely contained an inhospitable can be utilized on earth to feed people at home, or recycle water at home.
