thats fair, but of course its not the kids who are buying them.
Flip side is that kids are resourceful - given a dumbed down device that is only supposed to be able to do texting, it wouldn't be a month before every one of them was running custom firmware to connect to fully encrypted peer to peer social networks run by kids with audio alerts set at a frequency that adults can't hear and multiplayer games LOL.
I'm completely ignorant of "Gabb" phones. I'll have to investigate. Also, I should probably add that while I'm a parent my kids are now grown so my opinions on this are dated. They all have full fledged smartphones at this point... and jobs... and lives. LOL
as a parent, I would say what matters is geo-location and text to coordinate pick-up or plans. there is no need for younger kids to have a full fledged phone if one could be developed that serves those functions. I'm thinking 90s flip phones with GPS. It really sounds like a gold mine for some company to supply these limited devices given the market for them.
Yeah I don't think I ever played it even once but I bought a bunch of packs back when. The instruction booklet that came with it had text that was so tiny I could barely read it even back then lol
and suddenly many people who have been wanting to start their own businesses, make that career move, or move to where the jobs are would finally feel secure enough to do so. I suspect this would boost the economy everywhere in ways it would be hard to predict.
"Sure, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system, and public health ... what have the Romans ever done for us?"
The text that actually adorns the building is from Obama's 2015 "You are America" speech at Selma.
"You are America. Unconstrained by habit and convention. Unencumbered by what is, ready to seize what ought to be. For everywhere in this country, there are first steps to be taken, there is new ground to cover, there are more bridges to be crossed. America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ That word is owned by no one. It belongs to everyone. Oh, what a glorious task we are given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours.”
The fact that nearly every scene in that video is a 2 second edit suggests that if these are really being used in a factory they are doing none of the things shown in the video IRL.

Executive Orders are not Law. The President cannot make Law only the Congress makes Law. The President must "faithfully execute" the Law.
Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
Yeah, remember that which doesn't kill you, maims you.

of course the bigger story here is that there is a LITE version of CNN on which uBlock and Privacy Badger find nothing to block!
