AI’s methodology represents a different way of solving math problems that may be of interest to a few dozen mathematicians, but that comes with a computational cost equivalent to a moon landing. Were 10,000 humans actually put to the task of solving mathematical problems, questions of agency and whether or not this is a good use of social resources would arise. It is only by hiding / sidelining the question of environmental and social costs that AI is claimed to add value beyond profits for a few insiders.

I think this is a good way to put it.

He was trying to pick her up, she didn't want him to, he kept trying, then he posted it online and she was embarrassed and asked him to remove it. He said he will if she pays. She feels humiliated and she was used.

It might work if you're a man but if you're a woman, it doesn't matter what you do, if a man wants to film you, follow you, harass you, he will do it. And now he's filming it too and posting it online for profit.

I heard looksmaxxing described as the beauty myth for men, which makes sense of a lot of it. Same bullshit, different audience.
