Also not a lawyer, but once a journalist, and one thing we were made aware of in college was that streets were public property, and anything done on them (or even done from the view of them - e.g., in your house but visible from the street*) was considered public. So unfortunately even if the city hadn't signed it, if someone recorded you on the street doing it, they could keep it on their servers and/or publish it to the world without worry.

We write about "paperclip optimizers" as if they're some future AI problem, but in reality we run them every day to make ends-meet while the people who own them just focus on the compulsion to have more paperclips with no regard for societal consequences.
Modern companies see the paperclip optimizer and say "yeah, these guys are doing it right."
Currently on a longer vacay, was able to do laundry at a friend's near the beginning as planned, but two countries later I'm currently in a laundromat desert at a hotel near an airport.
So it's not really something you can rely on being able to do, unfortunately.
Edit: Just sink washed some things that should get me through the rest of the week after seeing that idea in the responses. Now it just rained, so fingers-crossed the clothes dry faster than they get the wet-mold smell

After you've had a job for a year or two every degree question is just "did they get a degree," and even then rarely is there a care; the post-grad job performance is what matters.
This is coming from a Journalism major/English minor who got a job in programming a decade and change ago by getting an internship at a company that later hired them (I was familiar with Linux and cross-platform tools the CS majors wouldn't usually touch and which mattered to this company).
Of course, things are always changing. But fundamentally if you can't back up your BA/S it won't matter what it is.
Potatoes in Ireland being a result of the Colombian exchange, this is one of those scenarios where you might be able to find an equivalent South American dish from before Ireland had potatoes(wild to think about, right?). The Inca grew potatoes with corn and eggplant for their farming, and it's hard to imagine they ate them raw.
Some googling shows things that all appear to be fusion cuisine, but then any use of tomatoes or potatoes in Europe is fusion cuisine anyway :P

Doubtless accurate, even here in the US I grew up in an area that pronounces water "wuhter", and had to unlearn that when I moved to a city where that would confuse people. That said, I also picked up "y'all" from a friend in college, so it's a mixed bag.
But when I visit home for a week and come back, definitely some "wuhter"s slip out before I get back into full city mode.
