yes it's saver to do such a test. I think i came up with it in a similar way like you. like i had to shift a date because i wasn't feeling well and the guy wasn't too happy about it. So it became a standard safety check.
When i used to date i always postponed the first date on a somewhat short notice with an excuse and observed the reaction. Most guys where cool and understanding but some where actually pissed. So i was always happy i did that test.

For example "strong confident woman that is beeing taken seriously in meetings" and for this i have "Libre" by Yves Saint Lauren, which is also a nice day to day sent. For this topic i am also considering "Guilty" by Gucci because it smells like someone with the confidence i'd like to have. i hope i will get there though :)
I also like "Born in Rome" by Valentino and "Zadig" by Zadig and Voltaire.
for me it's easyer to test designer or somewhat popular parfums, because i live in a rather small city.
so anyways, i'm still looking for parfums for ocasions like: doing something outdoors with a friend in spring or summer. So maybe something light/fresh/clean/sporty
and a day to day parfum for winter that is not too heavy nor too sweet. So i guessing something with wood an citrus? but i'm not sure.

i found one chain here in switzerland that claims to sell it on their website at least. I will see if i can find it in an actual store :)
