The main fighting force was with local militias and indigenous peoples led by British officers. The war was really tit for tat until the British brought their Napoleonic Vets over and started raiding the east coast of the US.
2 & 3 : If the aggressor in a war doesn't win and the defender didn't loose any territory it really sounds like the defending country won.
Why is every episode some weird take on a different genre. We had a B&W Casablanca episode, a puppet episode and now a soap opera episode. We've also had murder mystery's and musicals. Can we just have some less experimental episodes? Some have been okay, or even good, but others have been awful. None have really been great.
Complaining isn't really going to help though I guess as all the episodes have been filmed and the show cancelled anyway.
I think it boils down to a lot of frustration on our part. Every time he threatens us or another ally everyone says how sorry they are, but nothing comes of it and it just keeps happening.

I've been picking up a different bottle of whiskey every time I go, but there's always a piss poor selection from anywhere other than my province. I also don't drink too much, so a bottle lasts quite a while, but still.
I almost hit some 10 year old girl the other day when she wizzed out of 7-11 onto the road without even looking while on her e-scooter while holding a sluppee.
There are zero ways to use this cord correctly. Do not tell people otherwise. The proper generator connection is to, as you just said, use a proper generator inlet and interlock like you said you use. Anyone using a cord like this is using it incorrectly as there is no correct way to use it. Both the CEC and the NEC expressly forbid these. All it takes is for a child to unplug the wrong end and touch the exposed prongs and they will get shocked.
A proper generator inlet should have the male ends in a recessed inlet box connected to either a transfer switch or an interlocked generator panel.
Worth mentioning that they are absolutely not safe as the exposed prongs are energised. They are called suicide cords for a reason. All it takes is to plug the cord into a running generator or working outlet first and the exposed terminals are now live.
Its also worth noting that they very often kill linesmen working to desire the utility because people use them to hook up their generators without turning off their main breaker which back feeds onto the grid.
Proper generator inlets are very readily available and if you don't want to go that route, just plug your fridge and other important devices into your generator with extension cords.

The trails here are somewhat interconnected and we ended up running back into them at a lookout. They recognised us and asked if we could ID some berries they ate.
I guess they asked ChatGPT what they were and it told then raspberries, so they ate them. They were in fact not raspberries. They were thimbleberries, which luckily are also edible, but still. They thought they tasted off, but chalked it up to just being wild vs store bought.
I largely agree with you here. I recently left Spotify and have been growing my locally hosted music library and instead of building my own playlists I've just been tuning into whole albums. I've found that most albums (not all, some albums seem to just be thrown together) have a flow to them and are just much more enjoyable when listened together.
Canadian Electrician here. I have zero idea what a schuko is, but could you not just buy a proper cord end from a hardware store and just replace the end of the cord instead of using adaptors? We can usually get replacement cord ends at most hardware stores for only a couple dollars and they don't require much effort or electrical experience to replace.
Often these adaptors are cheaply made anyways and sometimes burn up.

If the first season doesn't get enough views in the first few days its out then season two doesn't even get made. If it does do okay then they get to start writing a second season, which means another 2 years before we get a second season and by then we have completely forgotten the show until you read about it getting cancelled 2 weeks after season 2 came out because nobody tuned in.

Netflix and Spotify almost ended Piracy by making it easy to access whatever you wanted for a reasonable fee. Then they got greedy and everyone else wanted a piece of the pie and now we are in a worse position than package bundle Cable TV.
I'm in my late 30's and went back to the high seas. I used to sail the seas in my early 20's when i was broke AF and didn't have cable TV. When Netflix came around it sudden became easier and more convenient to just pay $6.99/ month to watch whatever I wanted. For years I got by with Spotify and Netflix and I didn't even look back. Then, all of a sudden there were more streaming services than i knew what to do with and every few months they would all raise their price and reduce their libraries. Then they started putting ads in. Now I'm self hosting all of my media and using Stremio/Torentio for my one off TV shows and movies. I directly support creators wherever I can as well, whether it's Patreon or Kofi or just buying their Merch.
There are absolutely echo chambers and polarization on Lemmy. It's definitely less noticeable than Reddit or Facebook, but its still there. They can definitely be good things too, but when the conversation is driven by one or a few people and everyone else constantly agrees or goes along with the status quo it becomes a problem.
For profit models seem to prioritize engagement over moderation, as long as people are commenting and driving engagement, even if it's largely negative, toxic, or even completely false, it's okay.
On Lemmy, at least for the most part, Toxic behaviour isn't tolerated and most communities are pretty good at discouraging false narratives. I don't think I've ever felt attacked here, or really elsewhere on Lemmy, for providing my views in a comment section like I did on Reddit, even if they were contrary to the prevailing opinions. When attacks and negativity are not tolerated actual discussion is much easier.
I mean, its probably a good thing for those that still use microslop, but for those of us who have left for the freedom of Linux it's too little too late. I'm glad that it's working out for you though.
There aren't that many "limitations" for gaming on Linux these days. If you're into older PC games Linux works much better than windows. Most new games work as good or better too. I wholeheartedly recommend that you give it a try, especially since you seem to know what you are doing PC wise. I went from being constantly frustrated with my system (especially with broken updates) to actually feeling like I was in control of it.
