are the blue things bottle caps and syringes?

Septimaeus@infosec.pub · 9 pts · 1y (2 replies)

How else could they activate the 13th chevron?

Artyom@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

There's only 9 chevrons

Septimaeus@infosec.pub · 3 pts · 1y

That’s what they want you to think!

Mothra@mander.xyz · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Absolutely milk bottle caps. It looks like syringes too but there could be plastic straws mixed in. Needs more pixels. Bottle caps are common in bowerbird decor, I've seen blue clothes pegs too

macrocarpa@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Plastic straws, clothes pegs, bottle caps, bottle rings.

I love bird mating rituals. The bowerbird's rituals is one of my favorites

This would 100% work on me. I would love it if a guy took me to see a bowerbird. Or if he was a bowerbird.

Grass@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1y

big same, no homo

Damage@feddit.it · 9 pts · 1y

yeah well, why don't you pick the spot next time

Dupree878@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (2 replies)

I have absolutely no idea what’s going on here.

Are those supposed to be condoms or trash?

macrocarpa@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y (1 reply)

It's a bower bird performance centre. Quite literally. They make an area where they can perform for a mate.

They like the colour blue so collect heaps of blue things and decorate their bower with them.

This one has got a bunch of milk bottle caps, milk bottle cap rings, blue plastic straws and what look like pegs.

It sounds funny till you think about stuff that humans do for exactly the same reason (to be "interesting" to a prospective partner)

Dupree878@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

I’ve never heard of a bowerbird. I googled it and it seems anyone not up on Pacific avians might have the same confusion

It's the girl's fault for only being attracted to screaming ovals
