Would unironically work. Easiest ice-breaker in the world. Grandma's still a woman. She knows what floods her basement.

beejboytyson@lemmy.world · 48 pts · 1y (5 replies)

She should get that looked at....

What kind of pump are we talking about here?

iamdefinitelyoverthirteen@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

The kind of pump that makes wet ass pussy.

atomicorange@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 1y

Wet ass pantry

The Noah's ark theme is a bit much for me but besides that he looks surprisingly cool with it

finitebanjo@lemmy.world · 36 pts · 1y (12 replies)

Is there an ark on there? I thought it was just a depiction of Africa.

db2@lemmy.world · 68 pts · 1y (3 replies)

It's gonna take a lot to drag it away from him, there's nothing that 100 men or more could ever do.

aeronmelon@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y (2 replies)

“Crankin’ the Toto!”

anomnom@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Sounds like more of a chat roulette, than a party activity.

meyotch@slrpnk.net · 3 pts · 1y

I suppose it depends on what sort of parties one throws.

ExcessShiv@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 44 pts · 1y (6 replies)

All the animals are in pairs of two, there's one side of the chest with clouds and the other side with sun and a single white dove like the one who brought Noah the branch to signal the water was retreating...yeah it's definitely a Noah's ark theme

jaybone@lemmy.zip · 15 pts · 1y (1 reply)

lol I’m pretty sure Moses was not on the ark. Was this the director’s cut?

ExcessShiv@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 10 pts · 1y

Haha, yeah massive brain fart on my end

Lionesses don't have a mane.

ExcessShiv@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 24 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I think they're referencing how many paintings of Noah's ark has two male lions with manes on them, and not a male and female lion.

Lumidaub@feddit.org · 15 pts · 1y

All the animals are in pairs and they seem to be going in the same direction. There's also a single dove in the sky. It might be a depiction of the animals after the flood. It's not suuuuper obvious but I also thought of that story.

RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 1y (9 replies)

Out of all the Bible things Noah's ark sounds a lot like your run-of-the-mill fairy-tale so it's hard to see it upsetting anyone

Schmoo@slrpnk.net · 7 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Well, it is a story about God flooding the entire earth and sparing only one family because humanity was too sinful. A bit less Disney and a bit more brothers' Grimm.

RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 1y

I guess but it's not very graphic that minor case of major genocide

phar@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1y (6 replies)

Genocide is never upsetting

RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 1y (5 replies)

It's a make-believe genocide, so unless you think it truly happened then I'm not sure what there is to be upset about.

phar@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 1y (4 replies)

Hundreds of millions of people believe it and base their voting preferences on it

RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz · 0 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I'm not sure it is upsetting to those who believe it. Christians seem to think of it as an uplifting story. I feel like you'd have to believe it happened but not be Christian (or other religion that includes it) to be upset about it. But that'd be a strange combo.

phar@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1y (2 replies)

You said upsetting anyone so that is what I responded to. For the reason above that I originally responded with, its an upsetting story that trivializes genocide.

RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz · 0 pts · 1y

Do you personally find it upsetting?

PunnyName@lemmy.world · 85 pts · 1y (4 replies)

Attractive people can wear pretty much anything and it'll look good.

Delphia@lemmy.world · 68 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Thats what I was thinking.

This MF so handsome women will use it as an excuse to approach him and ask and then he will tell them his 90yo grandma made it for him to wear to parties and they will immediately get spontaneously pregnant.

VeryInterestingTable@jlai.lu · 17 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You just summed up the entire designer clothing industry.

tempest@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 1y

While I don't disagree with you I think what drives designer clothing has more to do with image and projection than actually looking good, even on attractive people.

It's more velben good than looking good.

dbtng@eviltoast.org · 74 pts · 1y (5 replies)

Grandma can't see the pins anymore to take them out.
She made me a lovely quilt. I'm pretty sure I'll never be done pulling pins out of it.

Treat that vest very carefully for a while. No sudden moves.

Mr_Fish@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 1y

Don't hug people too tight either

higgsboson@piefed.social · 15 pts · 1y

Been there. I use a magnet broom. ~$20 at harbor freight.

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 1y

grandma got these pins with really big (like dime sized) heads so she can see them all. she got sick of losing them.

CompostMaterial@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1y

When I was a kid, my grandmother made my pajamas. She was probably in her 70s at the time and could see fine. Still, I ALWAYS got liked by a pin or two. It just became part of the charm from Granny.

SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

Sweep it with a magnet.

ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world · 44 pts · 1y

The virgin overpriced brand vs. the Gigathad grandma vest.

Edit: No sarcasm, no jokes.

I would wear that like a boss.

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 15 pts · 1y

It would help if you look like the guy in the pic

corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca · 37 pts · 1y (2 replies)

That vest is absolutely epic. One can only wear it if they truly own it.

LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone · 23 pts · 1y (1 reply)

DaddleDew@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 1y (9 replies)

I wish I had a vest like this and the confidence to wear it at parties. This guy is a Chad.

mienshao@lemmy.world · -5 pts · 1y (8 replies)

Tell me this is a joke. Where’s the /s? Do people actually sincerely call other men “Chad” like that? Beyond cringe. Beyond.

victorz@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y (4 replies)

You know the word "cringe" is supposedly metacringe by now as well, because adults kept using it? Showing your age a little bit here. 🤭

But sure, men can call each other Chad or other things to big up each other's confidence. Friends do that to each other all the time. Don't you do that with your friends???

prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Did you know the word "metacringe" is supposedly ubercringe by now as well, because adults kept using it?

victorz@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (2 replies)

😂 mb mb

boonhet@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Oh my god, young people aren’t using the same slang and idioms my generation did?! Gadzooks!

higgsboson@piefed.social · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I have a similar Halloween themed one that my aunt made for me. Honestly these are cool af.

MystikIncarnate@lemmy.ca · 9 pts · 1y

I know the OP's legitimacy is in question, but, if my grandma got/made me a vest to wear "to parties" you'd never see me not wearing it. Regardless of what was on it.

The original poster was a filthy liar, so that invalidates any wholesomeness in the image, but you know.

finitebanjo@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Man, you're not gonna believe this, but do I have the perfect bedazzled necktie for you.

Sigma type shit

mienshao@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You sound like an incel calling other men “sigma” — cringe shit dude, you don't have to be chronically online.

victorz@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

Who hurt you? Holy shit. It's supposed to be ironic. Calm your sphincter.

[Inline edit: I see you're new to Lemmy as of two months or so. We're nice to each other here on Lemmy. No need to come off so harshly at the get go like we used to on Reddit. It's calmer here. Push off your slippers and get comfy, fam. 🫂]

But not gonna lie, I might unironically wear that to make my grandma happy. So wholesome.

amniote@lemmy.world · -12 pts · 1y (3 replies)

You're gonna miss your GM soon enough. How can you make fun of someone online who loves you ?
