The man went to get his script filled from a different chemist and he happened to have the last box with him (empty because he'd already taken that months worth) because he wanted to point out that he didn't wanted these ones because the pills were too big.
The lady said "wait that box is not on this script but I'll get the pharmacist". The pharmacist then told him that these are the wrong blood pressure tablets and that they are 8ร the dosage (he is on the lightest dosage). She took photos and escalated the complaint.
Now the original chemist has contacted him apologising profusely and wants him to come in for a check up. He wants to know what he can get for free because they tried to kill him.
They keep asking him if he's had any bad reactions and he says "no". I told him next time they ask, tell them you've been eating more icecream lately and you think your dick's grown a few more inches and see what they say.

So Iโve had a slow creep of weight in the last couple of years, and though itโs not super excessive itโs the heaviest Iโve been and not a trend I want to continue. Gonna try and reduce the snacking and cook some lower calorie foods for a while. Also gonna attempt some fitness improvement, but Iโm a pretty sedantry person so need to start gentle. Edit: love all these great recommendations, thankyou all!
I've been using this calisthenics program for surgery recovery/rehab. It starts at a pretty easy level with progressions as you get fitter. A friend said I was looking musclier the other day but it's probably the weight loss.
On YT I like "Chloe Ting" and "Move with Nicole" for other good workout vids. Girls and Boys muscles are pretty similar and when I watch female exercise youtubers I don't get incel algo spam with it.
I walk to one park, do a workout set, walk to the next park and do the other set and then home. I do that twice a day on the dog walks.

Depends a lot on your personality; some people are successful with dramatic dietary shifts - I had success just straight switching to keto 7ish years ago, and it helped me drop 42kg over ~18 months. But I know for others such a drastic shift can be too over-whelming and smaller changes snowballing over time have worked better.
Iโm pointing this out to begin with, because that there is no one-size-fits-all solution; everyoneโs path is going to be a little bit different - and it comes down to your individual relationship with food.
Weight loss is ultimately all about one thing; a caloric deficit. Work out what your Total Daily Energy Expenditure is (there are heaps of calculators online), start tracking your calories using an app like MyFitnessPal or Cronometer (at least initially, until you get a feel for it), and find a way to comfortably, sustainably maintain a caloric deficit.
Exercise is a great booster, but you canโt put-exercise a bad diet. Focus on the food first, and slowly add in exercise gradually over time. Walks are a great way to get some sunshine, fresh air, and catch up on your favourite podcasts or audiobooks.
found out I am allergic to milk and to yeast a few months ago ( can't even have vegemite and right now my lips and tongue are on fire from having one piece of bread )

I haven't tested beer yet , this is the worst, I love beer
it's really hard, I have stopped buying so much , have changed how I cook but I still have some occasionally, it just causes reactions
Congrats on the 42kg! I only need to shift about 10 to get back to my regular weight. Just want to get on top of things before it keeps going in the wrong direction. I think drastic or strict diet is not sustainable for me, I think a general overall reduction in calories will be the goal.

Fabulous! I've got a slightly pink chunky glitter I bought back from Japan that's part of a palette. I like this idea of this forcing me to reach for the ones I don't often use.
Do I dare order myself a large finger rock from Poland? Last attempt from Germany resulted in 8 months of excuses, a full refund, but ultimately a loss due to exchange rates
I took a big bag of stuff to the opshop. ๐ I have sorted it all out now, only 2 bags to take now.
and I came home with a set of 3 small nicely framed prints of seascapes. ๐ I did an image search and they are by Konstantin Volantis, the Turner of Greece and painted Circa 1870s . They are lovely and tell a story. One is of traditional boat maintenance . Another is fishermen in a squall, the last is of the market in a small fishing village, probably the village he grew up in. I'm imagining these pictures hanging up in the home of Greek immigrants ( who I assume came in the 50s or 60s, like my parents came from Europe too ) and for them they would have evoked memories of Greek places and pride in modern artistic heritage. I will love them too. :)
I tried to sleep through the night the best I could, but now have the dry horrors. Sipping slowly.
Melbcat has breakfasted and requires cuddles. Iโm going to try and get her to finish the last little skerrick and then apply her nose cream.
Looking at an old picture I did and wondering why Iโm so much better at drawing objects than people.
Edit: I mean to say itโs that unpleasant anxious dry throat stage of dehydration that makes you feel terrible. Iโm not experiencing delirium tremens
I wondered the same about myself with drawing, my people always seem 2D. I think, for me anyway, it's because objects are kind of static whereas people have this sort of life essence that's hard to capture.
Steam: Helldivers2, Overwatch2, Baulders Gate3, Hollow knight, master of magic, lego LOTR all work without any issues tweaks, maybe need some performance tweaks.
Also Borderlands 3 (on Epic) installed via Linux's Heroic Games launcher (epic/gog/amazon front end), zero weird linux backend research to work. Clicked install, clicked run, ran.
There's a bunch of design choices I don't like about the Bazzite GUI, but it's free and runs games.
Okay dayum I am sucked into Boulet Brothers Dragula show ๐ I'm gonna have to keep this Shudder sub so I can watch this new season airing at the moment.
Gosh the contestants are so dramatic and messy, so talented and fantastic performers, it's my new favourite show. The comebacks and witty remarks they have are just fucking killing me, like all of them have to go to the burn ward. But the show is so inclusive, all queers who are into horror drag are welcome regardless of identity. It's such a great performance and reality show, I love my trash.
You should track down and watch Orgy Of The Dead by Ed Wood. I wish a service like Shudder acquired the rights and just turned it into an annual burlesque variety show. The premise has such great potential.
So, not really any music recording done but I faffed around with some stuff I've been meaning to do like figuring out how to make my Circuit Tracks and Rhythm talk to each other. There's a bunch of music stuff I've been meaning to set up or learn so maybe I do that in the evenings after the kids go down instead of just playing games. If I don't end up recording anything, I'll be the most set up to record things when I'm readdy.

Try out the stuff geared at rehab and oldies as itโs gentler, and really watch the potential for injuries.
Go for core strength first as it will really help.
Pilates is a lot more supported than yoga and doesnโt necessarily require much more equipment but classes are more expensive.
Also swimming might be an option? Low impact exercise. (Though I hate bathing suits and changing rooms)

Oooh, I didn't know this was a thing we're doing! Can I join in?! I love eyeshadow, the sparkly-er the better!!
Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 287d
You are very welcome to join in. :)
Today I did very sparkly gold with a green bronze eyeliner
and I just do this kind of thing periodically might be earrings or clothes or whatever, music or movies I have, I have to wear or use every one of them
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 287d
Fabulous! I've got a slightly pink chunky glitter I bought back from Japan that's part of a palette. I like this idea of this forcing me to reach for the ones I don't often use.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 287d
chunky pink glitter sounds awesome :D

Do I dare order myself a large finger rock from Poland? Last attempt from Germany resulted in 8 months of excuses, a full refund, but ultimately a loss due to exchange rates

what is a Polish finger rock?

I take it back, Iโm not good at drawing objects either.

I drew a good thing a year ago, then a really bad thing that was very similar just nowโฆ I swear the art is just getting worse

Bad drawing club tomorrow?
melbaboutown@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 287d
Heh thereโs an idea. Maybe there should be a booby prize (and possibly a suggestion of what people should draw)
Catfish@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 287d
Boobs! Not sure this Instance allows those. But I'm up for whatever
melbaboutown@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 287d
I dunno about boobs, the Australian gubmint would instantly card us all if we had those. Also I only know how to draw arse

I tried to sleep through the night the best I could,
but now have the dry horrors. Sipping slowly.Melbcat has breakfasted and requires cuddles.
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone · 5 pts · 288d
I wondered the same about myself with drawing, my people always seem 2D. I think, for me anyway, it's because objects are kind of static whereas people have this sort of life essence that's hard to capture.
melbaboutown@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 288d
I think people are a lot more complicated with more parts :(
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 288d
When I draw people's faces there's a liveliness that's missing, they all look like zombies or on drugs lol.

Installed Bazzite cos F win11. Pretty easy.

I wish the audio stuff I use could be run on Linux without a large compute cost for virtualisation
SaneMartigan@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 288d
How large a cost tho, C/GPUs are getting pretty powerful and *nix is getting better and better.

It's such a great performance and reality show, I love my trash.
tombruzzo@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 287d
