Oh wow, it's odd that only those are showing. Admittedly I've been kind of lax about making the weekly threads, but there's certainly a lot more than four in the last two years!
Perhaps someone on your inatance was last subscribed to it 2 years ago.
When you subscribe, your instance doesn't tend to fetch older posts, only posts made after subscribing.
I've never experienced less angst than here on Lemmy honestly, and mostly good faith disagreement.
Reddit is still bad faith capital of the internet, at least where people first sound like they're worth arguing with. I haven't touched a conversation anywhere else in years though.
Also I dared suggest that Mozilla isn't the devil and Firefox is still kinda the only browser preventing a full chromium monopoly on awfulsystems. Banned.
I chose the Lemmy devs’ instance thinking it would get bug fixes fastest. Had I known that this leads to constant discrimination, I wouldn't have, jeez.
It's so much better than Reddit, especially since that shit hole promotes the controversial posts and comments that lure people in to argue. I was on there a few days back and almost got sucked in.
That's not the point of downvotes. If you're assuming people are downvoting you just to make you feel bad, you're taking it way to personally.
Upvotes are funny too. I like what you posted, but can’t be bothered to articulate why. So I’m gonna click a button at you and hope it makes you feel good.
Downvotes are for when i believe the argument is in bad faith to begin with, or feel the other will be unreceptive to criticism, and i have better things to do than internet argument.

I think it's fun where you start recognizing regular posters and commenters here, like a friend group or something.

As someone who runs a discussion community, !actual_discussion@lemmy.ca
I get this every time I have to play devil's advocate. People get SO DAMN MAD on here despite their poorly argued positions...
People barely know why they believe something, let alone why someone else should believe the same.
ryannathans@aussie.zone · 5 pts · 240d
On my client I see 4 posts in the last 2 years, is that right?

This seems to happen a lot on Lemmy and I have no idea why
Only one of those four is a weekly post
darvit@lemmy.darvit.nl · 8 pts · 239d
Your Lemmy instance only fetches posts from an other instance's community if at least 1 person on your instance is subscribed to it.
ryannathans@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 239d
If that's the case why do I see random posts over 2 years
When I subscribe it should load them all
