This is just FDA guidance under RFK

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 3 pts · 240d (5 replies)

I dunno if it's worth all with all the evil shit he's doing.

But if he eliminates circumcision and brings back heroin, I'll hate him slightly less.

Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 240d (2 replies)

The bar really has become that low, huh? What an embarrassing time to be American.

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 240d

Yeah, it sucks living here.

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 240d

and a minority live here and vote for in favor of this shit.....

Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 240d (1 reply)

I feel like people are focusing too much on the heroin and not enough on the lobotomy.

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 240d

Being what some others consider as smart, I think I would be happier with some bits and pieces gone.

SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world · 36 pts · 241d (4 replies)

Just today, I found out my prostate biopsy was benign! Also four years cancer free, and I still have my bladder.

I owe it all to Jeezus and alternative medicine, oh wait no, it was FUCKING SCIENCE.

Uebercomplicated@lemmy.ml · 8 pts · 241d

Good for you! And happy new year!!!!

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 240d (1 reply)

FUCK YEAH BENIGN WOOO

"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy."

-- Tom Waits, amongst others I'm sure.

Mulligrubs@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 241d (1 reply)

There's no reason any of these drugs should be illegal, we managed to survive and flourish for centuries with no "war on drugs".

Think of the millions imprisoned and murdered over this war and the drug trade it creates.

Lobotomies seem kind of harsh, I do not support.

LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 240d

You know what's up.

🎉 Mulligrubs for President! 🎉

I'd be down to try that cough syrup

y0kai@anarchist.nexus · 4 pts · 241d (2 replies)

Good chloroform is hard to come by, but otherwise it'd be pretty easy to make your own syrup. The formula is right on the label!

Bababasti@feddit.org · 2 pts · 240d (1 reply)

Yeah, but do you know with which other ingredients they have skillfully combined these? Might be a dash of heroin or maybe a little bit of potassium cyanide to round things off, you don’t know.

::: spoiler Tap for spoiler That’s what it says on the smaller bottom side :::

y0kai@anarchist.nexus · 2 pts · 240d

Well I feel its common knowledge that "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down", so there's probably some of that.

Perhaps replace the chloroform with cocaine for a daytime formula.

Side note: fuck lexapro. That shit legit degrades my cognitive function. It’s not fun. Especially when you haven’t yet figured out that it’s the lexapro doing it.

polariscap@lemmy.cafe · 1 pts · 240d (2 replies)

Dang, what makes you think so? I was put on 20mg then I asked to downgrade to 10mg the past few years, still now. I suspected it wasn’t helping but also have some circumstances (aging, small children, etc) that also seem to contribute to my mind being a bowl of soup, so I’m never sure what’s causing what…

gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 240d (1 reply)

I titrated off. Also switched adhd meds. And a couple other things. But my brain is clearer today after three beers and an edible than it was stone sober 9 months ago.

polariscap@lemmy.cafe · 1 pts · 240d

Congrats :-) Thanks for context/inspo, I might try to do the same.

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 7 pts · 240d

God I would love some heroin right now.

pivot_root@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 241d

Oh, please. Nobody needs cough syrup when you could instead be drinking radium as an ailment cure-all.

Macchi_the_Slime@piefed.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 241d

I'm real partial to the traditional medicine of grammes of amphetamines myself lmfao

Perhaps laudanum deserves a comeback, along with bacteriophages, which would be an excellent complement to antibiotics.

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 240d

yeah no. my SIL was on laudanum. the mood swings were awful.

Anybody that goes to the doctors after seeing the crazy shit they do is insane. Scam profession. Worse because they do active harm.

sexy_peach@feddit.org · 23 pts · 241d

Imagine believing this.

becausechemistry@piefed.social · 20 pts · 241d

I usually don’t scope someone’s history because of one bad comment, but yeesh. You’ve been here for one day and it’s just about 100% bad.

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 16 pts · 241d (1 reply)

I hope it's a joke

MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net · 10 pts · 241d

Just a troll account.

This is what snake oil salesmen say to get people to re direct their health spending to snake oil.

Since they're unregulated scam artists, there is no regulatory body that you can appeal to in regards to negligence and malpractice on their part.

In summary, the goal is to redirect spending, as opposed to wanting better outcomes for patients.

adhd_traco@piefed.social · 3 pts · 241d

I feel like people go too much into extremes either way.

::: spoiler arguments I see very shitty things some doctors do. There's no denying the lobbying of big pharma on doctors, and just a bunch of so much other stuff. And I see very shitty alternative/natural medicine trends that are absolutely baseless and result in neglect of the issue is or making things worse. The wellness industry is the next big pharma.

There are people who've gone to multiple professionals that all couldn't help them but yoga made all the difference. But on the flip side, good luck if you want to live your life without vaccines, diabetic medication, cancer medication, antibiotics etc. or wholesale taking advice from random places rather than from people who are dedicated to this subject and field in an evidence and experience based approach. :::
