USians don't need to pay for tax increases to pay for public healthcare, USians already pay exceedingly expensive healthcare. Government expenditure doesn't come from taxes, the federal reserve can literally create money at will at a keystroke. Expropriation of the existing hospitals and clinics by the state would already make healthcare much cheaper than it is, because right now the wealth is siphoned off to rich people and corporations.

I have a clinical colleague who worked in the US for a few years. I think their description of US healthcare is best summarized as follows. Has the potential to be the greatest on Earth. In reality, the quality of care provided is far below European standards. She was mortified to discover that diabetics routinely had below knee amputations whereas in the rest of the world, with the exact same clinical picture, care would be provided to prevent worsening of diabetic foot.

for type 2 is lack of nutrional education, proper managment as well. because it so expensive, plus you have things like insurance making you pay into your preniums before they fully cover any medical care. mortality for women in pregnancies seems to be worst, and AA people have the worst rates.

Part of it is that many many people did not vote, after that it’s really a winner take all system. If you can get a 1 person majority in both houses and the president the minority party with 49% representatives gets zero say in anything.

"rising" not winning. So far the right wings havent had a lot of success in Europe, even though now both russia and USA are trying yo manipulate our People to vote for their crazy agenda. What usa has become, is a scary example of how the right wing will fuck up your country once it goes there way. We can only Hope we are better than this. I see a stronger, more unified EU now, than before trump got voted in for the second time. I only see the right has most of their success with the boomer generation and in eastern european countries, which apparently has a more laissez faire relationship with russia in the first place. But we will see. We are undoubtly not allies with usa Anymore, so we have to create our own future with what we got now.
