Defensively shooting a guy that is on the ground being held down by 4 other agents after you've peppersprayed and pistol whipped him multiple times is actually called murder. They did a murder, not a defence.

Honse@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 47 pts · 219d

And disarmed, before shooting him In the back 10 times. What brave warriors these ICE agents are, truly /s

He was holding a camera...

Triumph@fedia.io · 53 pts · 219d

They were defending themselves from accountability.

Don’t watch this if you don’t want to witness the ICU nurse die. It was, truly, a street execution.

they also took his entirely legal firearm before they shot him… more angles of the execution:

The ICE in the grey coat, yes. Then the other ICE shoots him.

We are in the street execution phase of the MAGA regime.

stylusmobilus@aussie.zone · 7 pts · 219d (2 replies)

the MAGA regime

The legitimate American government and I say it that way because pushing it as MAGA dilutes responsibility.

The sooner that responsibility is owned, the sooner they’ll work together to have it removed.

Zephorah@discuss.online · 1 pts · 219d (1 reply)

The executive branch appears to be MAGA. But you’re right. That doesn’t excuse the other two branches. Like those 7 dems that voted through ICE funding.

stylusmobilus@aussie.zone · 1 pts · 219d

Not all of them. Most Republicans are but there’s a few that aren’t.

Either way the choices are limited.

Cethin@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 219d (2 replies)

I'm going to argue against your warning. Yes, it's awful. Yes, it'll probably change you. However, that needs to happen. I say the same thing about people voting and war. They should watch the brutality of war and let that effect their voting. People need to witness horror so they can't sit back in ignorance. You should be traumatized, because we're going through trauma. You can't just hide from it forever.

Zephorah@discuss.online · 2 pts · 219d (1 reply)

It’s a fair argument but there is a large slide bar on resilience. Just like not everyone can be taught, not everyone can face that sort of thing and not turn into a mental puddle. That’s what our military is supposed to be for, to protect those people so they can do their part untouched by that crap. Just not in today’s America under the regime of chaos & brutality.

aquafunk@lemmy.sdf.org · 1 pts · 218d

no. those federal agents murdering people are our employees. we pay them, those that can handle violence and those that cant. everyone needs to own what people are doing IN THE NAME OF AMERICA, in our name, with our money, and with our blessing if we dont stop them, all of us

watching people you employ kill someone makes you uncomfotable?

tehsillz@lemmy.world · 50 pts · 219d

Absolutely insane. Even if this was a police officer there would be an investigation that would last for days before coming to any sort of conclusion. This comes just hours after the incident, with NO EVICENDE to support her claims, quite the contrary! Even republicans have to be appalled by this. If this is not the tipping point then it's absolutely game over for America. Your laws are not protecting you anymore!

Lie, lie, lie.

Noem, Hegseth, Trump, and the whole lot need to be led out in chains through the streets of Minneapolis.

Might as well go the rest of the way and do it like the "Shame" scene in Game of Thrones. They wouldn't make it one block before the frostbite does its job.

It came to mind.

All else aside, the guy leaving with the gun didn't fire it. There was no recoil, no action cycling or shell ejection ,no vapor, and someone would have probably been hit from ricochet and fragments. A 9mm still makes a decent recoil and some vapor.

This just makes it worse as it means the first shot heard is from the other agent's gun so they had zero excuse.

waterSticksToMyBalls@lemmy.world · 32 pts · 219d (1 reply)

Blatant defamation

PunnyName@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 219d

And execution

RonnyZittledong@lemmy.world · 30 pts · 219d

This administration has proven they are as comfortable with lying as they are breathing. So many obvious and provably false things on a daily basis. Often times they even laugh about it like the doctored AI image the White House tweeted yesterday.

Archangel1313@lemmy.ca · 24 pts · 219d

He did have a gun on him, although he never reached for it. And, they shot him after they disarmed him.

YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca · 19 pts · 219d (2 replies)

I’m waiting for the strongly worded letter from the democrats.

GreenKnight23@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 219d

well, not strongly worded. more like fortified with words that hold no merit or strength for the issue.

we oppose the killing of American citizens

who remain at home and do not inject themselves into political struggles.

Hey, don't be so hard on them! At least the Nazi in the 40s showed their face.

shittydwarf@piefed.social · 18 pts · 219d

Any shots directed at ice or its leaders should be considered defensive

Chozo@fedia.io · 15 pts · 219d

I wish someone would treat her the way she treats dogs.

zd9@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 219d (3 replies)

Why does it matter what the regime says? Does anyone actually still believe them? It's such an obvious lie, they're almost flexing how much power they have that they can say something so incorrect.

ech@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 219d

It matters because it 1) shows what they think they can get away with, and 2) suggests how much further they're willing to go.

Drusas@fedia.io · 2 pts · 219d (1 reply)

It matters because, yes, some of them do. And many pay zero attention to the news so whatever soundbite they do hear often becomes officially what happened in their minds.

zd9@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 219d

yeah... I know :( I just wanna not live in the reality where anyone actually still believes this

Formfiller@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 219d

Yes thanks for saving America from VA nurse who died trying to help people you deadeyed Nazi

Yup, defensive shots to the back of the head of someone on their knees. I hope she rots in prison, but I also am losing hope.

If she cared about her family, she wouldn't support fascism.

BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 219d

She's a psychopath, she doesn't care about her family. They are tools to make her look normal to the world.

She killed a puppy that wouldn't listen, then hopped up on bloodlust she had to kill a goat, too. Then she wrote about it in her book, because she's a psychopath, who honestly thought it would make her look tough and decisive, instead of like the psychopath she truly is.

Bwaz@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 219d

Either she didn't watch the videos or is lying. Probably both, no one in this administration (or nearly the entire Republican party) has any credibility at all anymore

Doomsider@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 218d

You know how the saying goes, the best defense is shooting someone in the back!

BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 219d

THEY chose violence? That's some world-class doublespeak, right there.

HubertManne@piefed.social · 1 pts · 218d

As much as we all knew bad stuff was coming the ability to continually say things that clearly is false given the video evidence is just stunning. I really don't get anyone buying this. I mean its practically impossible to not see the videos. It boggles my mind that somone could somehow only watch the edited versions and not even accidentally see some of the raw stuff.
