So "made in Europe" rather means "made in EU and partners".
sidebro@lemmy.zip · 30 pts · 181d
Or rather "Not made in China"

Not made in China, Russia or the US
huppakee@piefed.social · 10 pts · 181d
Imagine a label actually saying "100% China free production", "100% Russia free production", "100% US free production", because that means it is more eco-friendly and less slave-labour etc

Made in an actual democracy

Like in Hungary, Italy, And Germany, nations famously not on the edge of fascism (again) who never had free speech or freedom of the press in the first place.
But hey, the monarchies are doing better, and nothing says democracy like monarchy.

The potential decline of American rights into nearly being as bad as the average, non-French European state is a concern, of course.

It's unwise to talk about things you don't know

Europe needs partners, as does everyone.

With a little understanding you can find the perfect blend

Made in EU+

"First-world production". I can establish loyalty to any product made without slaves. Also, I consider the US an enslaved population at this point. EU, Canada, Japan, UK, Australia and New Zealand are my A-tier. Probably South Korea too.

UK is in Europe, so fine.
But Japan?

It's civilized and not hostile. Not many names in that list.
DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 1 pts · 179d
Nothing's ever gone wrong with Europeans drawing lines between the "civilized" and "savages."

Maybe they can buy a small rock island somewhere in Europe.

That rock Canada and Denmark were warring over could be the ideal candidate for selling/donating.

A little bit weird to include Japan, but honestly Im fine with that.
Deebster@infosec.pub · 11 pts · 181d
In my head, Japan is sitting there wearing lederhosen as a disguise.
dominic.borcea@piefed.social · 11 pts · 181d
Sometime in the future we should also include countries like Australia, South Korea, Canada, and others. Although, for the time being I hope the focus is to extend trade partnerships - especially finishing the FTA with Australia and a new one with ASEAN, that'd make me very happy.
This shouldn't really be about some sort of euro-nationalism, but rather a pragmatic approach that allows us to best counter USA and China.
AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space · 9 pts · 181d
They’ll also need to add Australia, Israel and Azerbaijan, given that they are in Eurovision.
WaxRhetorical@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 180d
I don't see a need for Europe to include Israel in anything at all these days to be honest
xep@discuss.online · 7 pts · 179d
Let's get Japan to join Eurovision!
Lumisal@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 180d
Should probably be renamed to "Made by EC", standing for Euro Coalition
remon@ani.social · 0 pts · 181d
I don't see why the UK would need to be included ...
zaphod@sopuli.xyz · 20 pts · 181d
It's basically a trade agreement.
