If you add balls to your truck

https://www.4statetrucks.com/8-25-inch-large-low-hanging-rubber-bull-balls-ppr_206071?sku=09-210604&zCountry=US

Your truck is now transgender. It was made without balls.

hOrni@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 122d (3 replies)

To piss them off, I would add fake breasts to a small sedan and tell them it's the same thing.

SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml · 7 pts · 122d (2 replies)

Ooh I live near cowboys. You do NOT want to piss them off.

That's why I told YOU his truck is trans, NOT him.

mic_check_one_two@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 24 pts · 122d

I live near cowboys too, and pissing them off is basically a local pastime. They get red in the face if you refer to their lifted pickup Pavement Princess as “gender-affirming care”. They’ll balk at first. Then you drop the “you drive it cuz that’s what real men drive, right? Because it makes you feel manly? Yeah buddy, that’s gender-affirming care.” They’ll piss and moan about how it’s not true, but they’ll remember it going forwards. Every time they start to drop the “real men drive trucks” BS, they’ll remember that conversation.

ironhydroxide@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 122d

Yup exactly. And then you point out they love to ride around inside a trans.........

I know if I got so utterly owned by a completely anonymous stranger the very first thing I would do is run to the news and tell them all about it.

I have a Jeep.

Kind of a useless on-road or urban vehicle and so it's only used for my frequent trips requiring 4×4.

Range Rovers are a weird one because they too are pretty useless on-road while also being notoriously useless off-road. Really highlights insecurity, stupidity, ora combination of the two.

The card does specify "in the city"

saltesc@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 122d

Exactly right, Joe.

psud@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 122d (3 replies)

Funny, in Australia Jeep is not respected as an of road vehicle, we don't do much rock crawling which is where they shine.

LandCruiser is the off-road vehicle here. Isuzu off-road trucks are also respected

Jeeps are not sufficiently reliable

saltesc@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 121d (1 reply)

They're very reliable because of their mechanical simplicity (intentional) which also makes them very easy to work on in the wilderness with a minimalist tool kit by design. Have never had a "failure" in 130,000 and that thing gets mechanically pushed so hard. Granted I maintain it very well due to the role is has.

But compared to Toyota reliability, that's kind of their whole reputation. And I guess outside of the few major cities, Australians aren't exactly surrounded by towns and workshops, so it makes sense they want the most reliable. The LandCruiser is, after all, an agriculture vehicle first, but with fairly good off-road capability as part of that design. They've been designed to be in the middle of no where farming for years and be able to limp for months if a part fails and can't be repaired any time soon.

Not sure why you'd pick one as a recreation vehicle, though, unless touring extreme remote is your main 4×4ing. I don't imagine every Australian is into that though. And even then, I'dprobably take an Ineos or a classic Unimog for the lols.

If that's the way they are in America, I'm surprised. In Australia and the UK they are famous for being one of very few vehicles where you come out ahead if you buy extended warranty

Remember if your not as thick as a soda can you need enlargement.

Stupidmanager@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 122d (3 replies)

American soda can or UK? Asking for a friend.

jasoman@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 122d (2 replies)

Which ever is 7inch girth lol

Stupidmanager@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 122d (1 reply)

Probably a Red Bull can then, because uk and USA cans are like 8” and 10” in circumference. Red Bulls are something like 6.5”.

Don’t ask why I know this useless info unless you like to know more about geek night trivia, and beer.

jasoman@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 122d

First thing i thought of was that Japanese f1 fan with the redbull engine

paraphrand@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 122d (5 replies)

Why is this picture muted? That’s not helping accessibility.

ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 122d

It was taken by a Land Rover driver.

parson0@startrek.website · 2 pts · 122d (2 replies)

Apologies that was an oversight. I added text, hope it's done right now

paraphrand@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 122d (1 reply)

That’s great. But I was just making a joke about the fact this is a screenshot that includes a mute icon.

parson0@startrek.website · 2 pts · 122d

Ah lol, didn't even notice that

Klear@quokk.au · 1 pts · 121d

The colours were screaming before that.

Eternal Repost, I think I’ve seen this 20 times, still makes me chuckle though

Mortified seems like a strong reaction. Somewhere between annoyed and reflective should be the response.

BreakerSwitch@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 122d

He was mortified to find out it was a joke. Imagine how disappointing that would be after calling that number!

Does lemmy have a compo face? Lemmy should have a compo face.

abbadon420@sh.itjust.works · -7 pts · 123d (2 replies)

But what if I have a legitimate use for a 4x4 and I use it daily. Do you want me to buy a grocery car?

deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz · 6 pts · 122d (1 reply)

Then you're in a very very small minority in a city.

If it were just that minority with them there wouldn't be a problem.

abbadon420@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 122d

That makes sense. Also more likely in small cities, like <100.000 inhabitants
